Chapter 53: Stealing The Academy Library

The last floor was an empty hall. In the middle of it lies a magical large door without walls around it and leads to the real floor.

A guard stood in front of the door, he was wearing a long magician's robe. It was not usual to have a guard in the library, but things were tense these days. The appearance of the dark law users made the whole kingdom enter into a state of emergency, and guards were spread everywhere.

Singh Hao was currently in the academy hospital. It seems that the damage from the shattering seed on his chest was very severe, and the doctors had confirmed that transferring him to the kingdom prison was impossible in his current state.

The librarian suddenly woke up from his nap, with serious expressions on his face, and then disappeared immediately. After a few seconds, he appeared in front of the guard heading towards the door. When the guard saw this, he joined his fists in salute and opened the door for him.

A few minutes later, the sound of explosions rang out in a place near the hospital, so the guard ran quickly to the nearest window before returning to open the door, saying.

"Master Yao, there is an attack at the place where the traitor Singh is imprisoned.

Then he turned his head left and right then muttered to himself, 'It looks like he had teleported to the scene.'

The guard closed the door again. He activated strong defensive magic that prevented anyone from approaching the door, and then he activated another defensive magic on the entire floor, then went down to the second floor to calm the students.

Behind the door, there was an illusion dispersing until a person's shadow appeared after it had been hidden from everyone's sight. The shadow started to smile as he played with a small wooden cube in his hand.

That wasn't the librarian's voice, but it was Jin's voice.

Ever since Jin set foot in the library, he has been planning to steal everything that was on the third floor of growth techniques, warrior skills, and magic spells.

What made his plan easy was that the librarian, who was pretending to be asleep during the shift, was not really asleep. He was using a domain magic spell around Singh's whereabouts, and if any stranger approached the place, he would know immediately.

Jin kept watching the librarian from afar for days. When the librarian used his teleportation magic to go to the battlefield, Jin used his illusion magic to disguise himself as the librarian. Immediately after that, he used his teleportation magic to appear in front of the guard on the third floor.

The guard also wasn't an easy person. He noticed the librarian's disappearance, but when Jin disguised himself and appeared in front of him, he didn't suspect it, and then Jin hid his existence by using wooden beads which enhanced his invisibility magic spell.

On Jin's journey to the Hidden Ruins, he found the Imperial lightning sword and four small wooden cubes. He didn't know what they were useful for, but days ago, he found them mentioned in one of the magic books. When used with invisibility magic, he can hide himself even from the eyes of an expert magician.

Jin sighed tiredly, muttering to himself.

"This made me tired. Getting in here broke my nerves, and if the librarian had not been assigned to guard Singh, I wouldn't have succeeded in sneaking in."

Jin was aware that he couldn't fool a smart magician like Yao.

If he wants to get a book from the third floor, he must go through several steps.

First, the student must obtain a permit to allow him to pass through the dimensions gate. Then he is given one hour to choose one growth technique and one skill, or three high warrior skills, or three magic books for magicians.

Each book is attached with a small paper that briefly mentions what the book contains and the terms of its use before he can read it.

The books in the library are enhanced by the magic of memory, and when you read them once, they will remain in your mind. During reading, the clock stops counting the time, and thus the reading time is not deducted from the time granted for searching.

At the end of the specified hour, or after completing the reading of the selected books, the student will automatically find himself outside the floor in front of the dimension gate again, and the books will return to their place.

Jin stared at the light that formed an hourglass over his head and at the lights on the books. Then, he used a magic circle that caused the clock to stop working and the magic that counted how many books had been read without touching the magic related to facilitating memorization.

Now he can stay here as long as he wants and read as many books as he wants without finding himself outside.

Jin took out from his storage ring some magic scrolls used to save the user's memories that he had prepared in advance. Then, he went towards the first book in front of him.

There were hundreds of books, and if only one disappeared, he would immediately expose himself, and it was impossible for him to memorize all those books even with memory magic.

The human mind has limits, and despite Jin's good ability to memorize, it is impossible for him to remember all these techniques, so he decided to read the technique and then transfer it to the magic scroll that used for saving memories, and immediately after that, he will erase what he read from his memory.

In this way, he would get everything he wanted without getting a headache from all the information that would be inside his head. Then even if they doubted him and searched in his memories, they wouldn't find anything in his mind.

And so the whole night passed, and Jin did nothing but record the books inside the save memory scrolls and then delete what he read from his mind.

Outside, There was chaos inside the academy. It seemed that two people had sneaked into the academy but were quickly found out to retreat into the forest. They were chased for a long time but managed to escape in the end.

Two strangers easily managed to slip past the walls and fortified security, which made the elders suspect that Singh Hao was not the only traitor inside the academy.

The next day, things returned to normal. The guard was standing in front of the door in the middle of the hall when a girl wearing a long coat with a hat covering her face approached him.

Without speaking, she presented the entry permit to the guard, and he opened the door for her, revealing the way to the real space of the third floor.

Lian did not enter the hall and instead remained standing in front of the door. Her job was not only to open the door but also to distract the guard so that Jin could use a memory-wipe magic spell on the guard.

The magic would only erase the part about the librarian entering the floor at the attack time. If he wanted to remove more memory, there would be resistance from the unconscious mind of the guard.

By erasing this part, Jin had accomplished his full crime and erased all clues.

"What are you waiting for? Enter the door."

The guard said confused, before hearing a girl's voice coming from afar.

"Lian, it's good that I arrived before you entered. Do you know where Jin is?"

"Why?" Lian looked at Li Chui, who was running towards her with an expression of concern on her face

"It's Han Seol. She was expelled from the academy, and she is now in danger."

At this moment, out of nowhere, Jin appeared behind her, asking while a killing intent was emitting out of him.

"What do you mean she has been expelled, and why is she in danger?"
