Present day ...
"Krilo! Where are you?" shouted the blue haired boy in the woods. It is now seven o'clock in the morning, several hours after Krilo's disappearance. Niva and Lula grabbed their breakfast and hastily packed Lula's potion, adventure gear, and makeshift weapons. A fast rescue is their current priority.
"Follow me! Your compfreund drags his body in that direction," whispered the fairly built tanned young man with a small ranger-ish brown hat, hiding his blonde spiky hair. Wearing a tight mustard yellow shirt under his chestnut brown vest and with army green shorts. The feet is covered by brown leather boots.
A novice private [Tracker] that was assigned by Niva to search the mysterious disappearance of Krilo. The novice finds him struggling in the village, approaches Niva, and offers him a service costing 500 Volvalen. The official Voltingen Kingdom currency.
Niva cannot afford to ask for the commission through the adventurer's guild. Too many forms and paperwork that must be done. It would take them days to process the request, go through various bureaucracy for both kingdoms. In his case the Voltingen Kingdom.
Meanwhile, doing commision to the adventurer's guild will alert various institutions to know Niva's whereabouts. Even though Krilo's bizarre summoning does not directly violate the law of the Kingdom, such occurrences might be processed straight to the Holy Order.
It is an official religion-based organization that has one of the responsibilities to act as a countermeasure for The Nature's related strange incident. They might be the one that orders a life sentence for both Niva and Krilo.
That is for the most part of his 'wrongdoings'. He remembered that he assaulted the knight commander of the Voltingen Kingdom. WIth his age now, it might be a life sentence or punishable by death. Niva hopes that the commander's strange connection with his father will result in a pardon on his sentence.
"He is close. The Nature's essence on the ground is getting stronger." The novice vision does not get distracted a bit as he keeps searching with faint clue. Other classes can only dream when assigned to find a missing person.
Everything in this world is made of The Nature's essence. The overabundance of Nature's essence forms a stable but fragile link. Such fragility comes when two forces meet. In this case, Krilo's dragged body meets the ground. It will leave the essence's mark that [Tracker] can use to find someone that is recently missing.
"It ends here." The [Tracker] stops searching down and looks up toward a cave entrance.
"What are you waiting for? Let's go in!" charged Niva, taking the first step.
"That's a dungeon y'know. A brown minor dungeon filled with void leakage." Lula behind him halted Niva's movement. "Going there without an offensive class, not counting my compfreund, is suicide."
Niva presses his forehead with his palm. There is no way he makes a clear announcement in the village center. More paperwork that needs to be made for the village council, another day wasted on bureaucracy.
He looks at the novice [Tracker]. "I will give you another 500 Volvalen, can you help us clear the dungeon?"
The young [Tracker] ponders. "Pay me 650 and also, boss must fulfill the previous 500 Volvalen now."
Niva searches in his bag from the Richter police station. "Fine, but the 650 will be paid after we escort Krilo."
"Okay, anytime boss."
The blue haired boy grabs the remaining 250 Volvalen as a pay fulfillment of 500.
Niva believes a level 5 class gets an ample amount of offensive skills from the previous class. Such as [Rogue] class with [Swift Blade] skill and [Runner] class with [Footwork] basic skill that is vital for offensive [Tracker].
"What's your name?" asks Lula coming forward. She too wants to contribute to the party.
"Lynel, madam." He bowed to Lula.
"Your name … are you the son of Lord Tynel from the Songhara region?" Niva approaches the young man. He is now maintaining eye contact and friendly gestures as opposed to a nonchalant approach to peddlers and commoners.
"Who are you?" Lynel is backing off, still wary of the blatant claims. But Niva is confident enough that he is the long lost son of Lord Tynel Wisteria. The region he rules is famous for producing offensive classes of individuals. Men and women there are blessed with incredible physiques. This man's diamond shaped face is really similar with Lord Tynel.
"Remiel Nivarna Melny. The stepchild of Lord Alexander Melny of The Richter region." Niva greets Lynel and starts to dishevel his hair, erasing the fake thin mustache, and puts on his usual checkered shirt.
Lynel laugh. "Of course I know who you are. The Niva That-Never-Stays-Home. I laughed out loud when your hot looking mom occasionally finds you with her compfreund. Even one time, your stepfather is so furious that he mobilizes The Richter to your location. Ignoring all the rules imposed by The Voltingen Kingdom."
Niva scratches the back of his head. Lynel's sudden recount truly embarrasses him. "Yeah … eventually they will find me. But back then I didn't even give much effort to hide myself."
"How about now? Is it really true that the Holy Order is searching for you?" Lynel sounds concerned. "I've heard from the birds that they order an arrest warrant through papa and other Lords first. It is only a matter of time that the Voltingen gathers a search party and post the search warrant publicly."
"Yes, from the looks of it." Niva's prediction is on point. "I accidentally summons a strange compfreund back at The Cathedral. So strange that they might try to capture and lock him, and maybe with me, with other strange artifacts."
"That's a pity," condoles Lynel.
It is not about family matters like he had explained to Krilo in the hut. It is all a trick to calm his compfreund. The reality is much more grim.
The strange occurrences in the Grand Richter Cathedral have never happened in all of the history of the companionship. It means that The Holy Order will pursue the anomaly until they are certain what kind of Nature's unexplored phenomenon is happening.
They will be here in no time and if that happens there might not be a companionship between the two.
Niva's gaze turned to the minor dungeon behind him. "I'll make sure that I won't be caught."
"Yeah I hope not. Oh yeah, about the excruciating high price that I demand from you. I'll cut it 75%. How about that?" asked Lynel.
"You serious?" Niva feels really awkward.
Lynel searches his pants pocket and extends his palm towards Niva. "Sure. 250 Volvalen."
But Niva does not extend his hand to receive. He instead folds Lynel's hands full of Volvalen. "It's yours, we'll eat with the 250, consider this my treat."
Lynel smiles and shakes his head. "It's a deal then. We should try the chicken soup in Trudy's hut. But if you want anything else just talk to me." Lynel laughs and shakes his fellow royal. The 250 was put back in his pocket.
Even if he is older than Niva. He considers Niva more mature than him. Even if they barely know each other. The reason being Niva's quick judgement call, knows how to be harsh and kind with his subordinates.
