Chapter 2. Ivy

My friends call me Ivy, my full name is Ivylln. I was so bummed out when I heard that most of my friends were going to different high schools. But on the bright side, my closest friend was coming with me. "Ivy, so you finally gonna hit on a boy?" Maya asked knowing that I was already uncomfortable with the vibe around us as we walked in the night. "Tell me again why we walked down this stupid road," I asked Maya. "Yeah just try to avoid what I said before," Maya said with a smile on her face.

We walked down the road, I stared at the cracks on the floor, each one I tried to walk over without touching. "What are you 6?" Maya asked, I ignored her. She was getting on my nerves it was starting to piss me off. I hated the fact that she kept trying to make me seem immature while she's the one that keeps bugging me about a relationship. I looked up into the night and saw the stars. How beautiful it was, how much I wanted to become a star.

Maya kept walking with me and then we got carried away in our conversations. I still don't even remember the stuff we were talking about. I kept walking as then from an alley that we passed a man about 20-24 years old (5-8 years older than us) came out of the alley and started following us. The faster we walked the closer he got, eventually we were walking side by side. He said nothing. Then he got in front of us, I was relieved thinking he was just walking and minding his own business. I was wrong...

He stopped in front of us. "Can I help you?" Maya asked the man, "yes," the man pulled out a gun and pointed it at us. "Take off your clothes," the man said. I was frozen I didn't know what to do, Maya was just as scared as me. And when I thought that my whole world was about to take the worst turn. Another boy about a year older than me came out of nowhere wearing all black clothes and then a mask that looked like was made out of metal and had dents that looked like the craters on the Moon. He ran up, the other man scared shot the gun and hit this masked character in the arm, then the masked character got a knife and threw it to the man's arm. Out of pain, he dropped the gun.

Then he walked up and grabbed the man by his throat and threw him on the ground. Then I heard my hero's voice for the first time... he said "You know it's been a long time, so where do I find the person you work for" the man trying to catch his breath on the ground said, "I'm not gonna die to you!". The boy responds "You don't have to die, you know". They had a conversation, I can't remember it all because it was all this stuff that feels like it came out of an action movie. Then the boy delivers a final blow to the man's head, breaking his nose and making him go unconscious.

"Hey wait what's your name?" I asked desperately wanting to know who this boy's name was. "Names are not needed, but some people know me as 'The Silent Wolf', take care of yourselves," the boy said. I wanted to follow him and get to know him but Maya was still scared so we called 911 and left it there. I didn't think I'd ever see him again or even get to know him. That was until I entered high school... and saw a boy looking exactly like "The Silent Wolf". Not only that but his voice was exact, then on his first day, 5 people tried to fight him. This boy won... but what convinced me the most is that when I saw this boy during P.E his arm... had a scar, a bullet wound scar.
