Slow Motion

Rhett checks out the computer, and it seems to be working. I never realized how big the computer actually is.

Felix finds a cord that is hanging out if the side of the computer. He gives it to Rhett. Rhett tries the cord into the device.

"It fits!" He shouts at us.

Jasper runs up to him, "Can I do it? I really want to see if this will work."

Rhett nods and explains what to do. Jasper listens to every word that comes out of his mouth. I can't believe we are going to figure it out. I'm glad I got to meet two wonderful people because of it.

Jasper places his thumb on the device. Everything feels like it's moving in slow motion. We are all anticipating on what the computer will spit out. I have a gut feeling that it's going to be Felix, but Rhett said I can't think that.

The device is taking a little long to read, but I would imagine that's because it's so old. Jasper looks like he can't wait anymore.

I'm nervous for Jasper. I can't imagine all of the emotions he is going through. I'm sure Felix is feeling the same way as Jasper. I don't know what Rhett is thinking. He's a little harder to read.

After what feels like a lifetime, the computer spits out a single piece of paper. That paper will change Jasper's life.

Rhett picks up the paper, "Jasper, Felix, Atlas, are you ready to know who is the soulmate?"

Jasper and Felix nod with excitement, but I just give him a single nod. I'm excited, but not as excited as them.

"Jasper your soulmate is," Rhett gives a dramatic pause, "Are you sure you want to know?

I hear a groan from the two boys. Rhett must be killing them.

Felix puts a hand on his hip, "Yes! We really want to know."

Rhett nods and hands Jasper the paper. It takes him a second to read the paper fully. He is either shocked, or he doesn't want that person to be his soulmate.

I give Rhett a look, but he just winks back at me. What does a wink mean? Jasper gives the paper to Felix. Once he is done reading it, he stares at Jasper.

Felix's eyes are wide, "I'm your soulmate?"

Jasper nods and tackles Felix in a huge hug. They are going to be absolutely adorable together.

"Atlas, are you mad?" Rhett stands next to me.

I'm confused at his question, "Mad? Why would I be mad? I think they are going to be a great couple. I'm happy for them. Why do you ask?"

Rhett shrugs and watches the couple hug.
