Intro II: The World Set Ablaze

With Rothschild's defeat, one would assume things would begin to smoothen out. However, if you thought this would be the end of the Ottawan's journey, you'd be sorely mistaken. The days following the Demon Lord's defeat were anything but peaceful. It had been a total of four months since Rothschild met his end at the hands of Perseverance and things were tense.

General Allen and Major Akira stayed behind in Europe to act as an occupation force. Despite the New World Order's best efforts, Fascism had taken root and spread like a wild thicket, untamed and undaunted. Most weren't upset with Mcginnis or Akira taking charge and beginning the reconstruction effort. However, the abilities of the European and Asian worlds had begun to further mutate. Metahumans and Non-Metahumans began fighting, miniature faction wars broke out all over Europe. However, this wasn't the biggest change. Heteromorphs, or metahumans who looked more animalistic than humans began to pop up amongst the population. Many were beaten, killed, or outright Banished from society. The second set of Jim Crow Segregation and Legalized Murder-style laws and practices began to sweep the Eastern Hemisphere. 

In addition to the many countries calling for Heteromorph Separation, Europe was beginning to reek of the stench of Fascism. It spread like a corrupted root entangling the freshly weeded gardens of the European hearts and minds. The world as a whole could feel the influence of Fascism on the rise. In the nations of Poland and Russia, a Fascist group that was known as "Delzigade" took everyone by surprise as they rapidly claimed leadership within the two nations and began to spread their Fascist ideals across the world. Normally, the Western Hemisphere would have intervened.

However, back stateside, things weren't all roses and sunshine either. Thanks to Lonestar, Perseverance, Liamidas, Astra Morganna, and the rebranded B-Marshall, now the Florida Man, none of these brutal laws or practices were ever implemented. Rather, the very thought of them was appalling and had been outlawed. Greater Ottawa, thanks to Irongrail Archie, Venus, and Barbara had become a haven for Heteromorphs across the Country. Defeating Rothschild brought dozens of shiploads to the growing City. However, the Star Spangled Topography of America had changed. Earthquakes and odd storms had shaken up the world in the four months after Rothschild's death. The Mighty Mississippi River had widened several hundred meters in length and depth. The Eastern portion of the country had been shoved further away as researchers and scientists feared Yellowstone National Park's sleeping giant was waking up, giving the Americans a feel for how it stretched its legs. The Veterans Bridge of Greater Ottawa shook as the land began to stretch and crumple. Luckily for the citizens, Perseverance and Venus were on it to keep them safe. Crews worked around the clock to get the new bright straightened out. The once-narrow rivers of the Illinois and Fox had become a sizable channel. 

By the time they took notice... Delzigade had only China, Africa, and Mexico were all that were left to spread their influence to. The Factional U.S of America had Fascism knocking on their door to the North and their neighbors to the South. Japan, the Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, Hawaii, and Alaska were now under threat. As the US began to respond, the American factions began to find the limitations of their governance styles. The Confederation of the Texan Republic would seemingly shut down without their leader in his chair. The Liberal-Democratic Northeast found themselves short on service members with an all-volunteer force. The New Floridian Imperial State along with the Western Commune of States found their systems had too many loopholes and breaking points.

However, there was one faction that was dominating where the others were floundering... The Mastocracy of Greater Ottawa found their only issue was the total exhausted states of their troops, weapons, and equipment...

Above the skies of the United Kingdom, a Greater Ottawan C-130 unleashed the 815-Spec Ops Group known as "Task Force Illiniwek" under the cover of a blushing dawn sky. Senior Commanding Officer Mcginnis briefed the team on their mission as they dove in. 

"Right, listen up. The O.I.A. got solid intel that Delzigade soldiers were marching on the Refugee Village of Hastings. Hastings is home to Heteromorph Refugees trying to escape persecution. Our orders are to put any fascist face-first into the dirt by bullet hole or fist. Lethal Force is authorized and we're being backed by Perseverance with Venus Mons running medical support. Deploy wingsuits, get to the ground, and set up..."

"Belay that, Mcginnis. Delzigade beat the Task Force there. Get to the ground and engage them. Watch your fire as you go, the Heteromorphs are engaging them as we speak."

"You heard the lady! GET DOWN THERE!"

As Task Force Illiniwek made landfall, Barbara looked over her shoulder as she was running close air support in her Huey. "Do you gotta always jump, child?"

"It isn't called a Hero's Entrance for nothing!" As Perseverance jumped from the Huey, the ear-protective comms part of his costume blared the song "The Lost Battalion" by Sabaton, as he shot like a bullet toward the ground below the Huey. The sound of rifles and the grunting within those involved in the struggle were picked up by the earpieces of the MKII version of his costume called, "Perseverance-Victory". As he rolled onto the ground into a sprinting slide, the hero drew two smaller versions of the American Dream Sledgeforge Hammer, called Liberty and Justice. The two hammerheads slammed into Delzigade soldiers with great force. The Heteromorphs yelled for him to carry onward towards the end of town, where the Delzigade soldiers' commanding officer was trying to snag their village school teacher who'd been charged with protecting the children. 

As he rushed across the village, he found the school teacher. She was bloody, on her ass, but alive. The Commanding Officer laughed as he raised his machete above the teacher. 

"PLEASE! YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS!!!"

"FILTHY CREATURE! TRYING TO PROTECT THOSE KIDS HAS COST YOU AND THEM THEIR LIVES!"

The teacher's eyes looked into the piercing, yellow-pupiled gaze of the Officer. However, she saw just above them were Perseverance's star-spangled-hued, glowing eyes. They directed her to look over to her left to see the hero blitz at the Officer. 

"EISENHOWER...IMPACT!" yelled the Hero as his fist threw the Delzigade Officer away from her, the machete clattering to the ground in front of her. "Have no fear, Miss. For America is here."

The children clambered over to the window, faces pressed against the cool, still glass panes of the schoolhouse. All eagerly trying to get a glimpse of the American hero. However, as the hero is about to help the teacher inside the schoolhouse, a stern cold voice snaps at the hero. 

"GET THAT THING OUT OF HERE."

Perseverance whips around to find a horde of angry English Folk, all wielding pitchforks, torches, and rifles. An older couple is out front of the group with the husband pointing the barrel of the rifle at him.

"Get 'em out here, or we'll burn 'em out here." 

The hero scanned over the crowd. "This is bad," He thought to himself, "If I bring them out here... it'll be a fucking massacre." He looked at the injured teacher, and with blinding speed, he closed the door of the schoolhouse with the kids, the teacher, and himself all locked inside...
