into Joes with her fingers intertwined with Alex's, Eleanora rambled, trying time make him feel better. He'd been getting crap from the other interns all day, and he was in a grumpy mood because of it.

"I think working with Dr. Montgomery-Shepherd is amazing, babe." She piped up, squeezing his hand. He scoffed, rolling his eyes as he lead them to the bar. "I personally love working with her-"

"Oh, Ass! Hey!"

Eleanora's head snaps to the side, brows furrowed. Izzie waves her off. "Not you, Eleanora. Your little ass of a boyfriend."

Eleanora opened her mouth to scold her friend, but Alex was quick-witted. It was something she loved about him, even if it got him into more trouble than good.

"Isobel Stevens has finally left the hospital. Does this mean heart patient dude finally kicked it?" Alex sneered, Izzie's face falling. Eleanora squeezed his hand tightly in warning, not letting her eyes leave the blonde.

Izzie let out a dry laugh, moving her arms above the part of the bar her, Meredith, and Cristina were sitting at. "I'm sorry, this section of the bar is for surgeons. We don't socialize with gynecologists."

Eleanora felt slight anger rise inside her, taking a small step forward. Cristina let out an 'ooohh', Meredith scooting back slightly. Izzie gave her an odd look, Eleanora narrowing her eyes.

"Is there something with gynecology, Izzie? Are you saying that something Dr. Montgomery-Shepherd, one of the highest paid and talented surgeons in the entire world, specializes in is less than whatdo? You, an intern who barely reached her required OR time? Because I can let her know next time I see her."

Izzie looked at her, deflating in her seat slightly. "N-no."

Elenaora huffed, nodding. "That's what I thought."

She turned, Alex grabbing her by the waist and pulling her in tight. He smiled largely down at her, Eleanora reflecting it. He pressed his lips against hers, mumbling against them once he pulled away slightly.

"That's my girl." Eleanora giggled at that, turning to Joe to order a drink. She sensed someone step between her and Izzie and turned her head to see George and Callie.

Eleanora liked Callie, she really did. From what George had told her, she was good to him and she liked him a lot. Eleanora hadn't had many conversations with her, but the few they have had were full of laughs.

For some reason, Izzie didn't like her. Cristina wasn't really bothered by the fact, and Meredith was iffy. But Eleanora didn't understand why no one seemed to be happy for George and what they had against the Ortho Resident.

Izzie gave the woman a hello, but it reminded Eleanora of the mean girls at school who really didn't care and would make fun of you as soon as your back was turned.

Callie huffed, turning her back to them. She looked at Eleanora with wide, "help me" eyes, making the smaller girl give her an apologetic look.

"You can go sit with Alex and I, if you want?" She asked softly, giving Joe a thankful smile when he handed her the beer she ordered.

Callie looked over her shoulder at George, who was talking to Izzie. She sighed, shaking her head. "No, it's fine. I'll live, even if having to stand this close to her makes me feel like I'm entering a snake pit." She joked, causing Eleanora to giggle.

Alex grabbed his own drink and grabbed his girlfriends attention by squeezing her waist. "I'm going to go play a round of darts." They shared a quick kiss, him leaving with a wink.

Eleanora rolled her eyes playfully, focusing back on Callie. She took a sip of her beer, flashing a bright smile. "Guess you have me until Alex is done playing darts and drags me home."

Callie lets out a breath of relief, taking her own drink from Joe like it was a lifeline. "Oh, thank god."

_____

never came home last night." Izzie stated, causing Eleanora to let out a suprised noise. She was trying to get her trauma gown on when the tall blonde snuck up behind her.

Eleanora let out a small laugh, nodding. "Yeah, we went back to Alex's last night. It was closer and we both had to get up early, so it made the most sense."

They were quiet for a moment, Eleanora helping Izzie tie her gown. Izzie then spoke up, her voice holding a condescending tone. "So you two are, like, serious? For real?"

Eleanora furrowed her brows, finishing tying up the gown. She nodded, stepping away. She felt like she was back in highschool, and for her, highschool sucked ass.

"Yeah, for real."

Eleanora shook it off, jogging to meet up with the patient that just strolled in. There was a shooting at a restaurant, and there were a lot of patients rolling in. She took one look at the girls head, wincing.

She yelled over her shoulder, drawing a few nurses attention. "Someone page Dr. Shepherd and tell him to meet me in Trauma Room 2 ASAP! Please and thank you!"

_______

get her up to CT." Derek spoke, putting his light back into the chest pocket of his labcoat. Eleanora nodded, turning to make a quick note in the patients chart.

She had invited George on the case, terrified that Izzie would hop onto it and keep questioning her. George was standing beside her, lifting up the sides of the gurney. Derek looked at the two, continuing.

"Get ahold of her parents, alright? Get them down here as soon as possible." Derek let his eyes look at the young patients face, his voice a little softer. "What's her name?"

"Kendra." George piped up. Eleanora nodded, placing the chart back. She looked up at the two men, finishing for George.

"Kendra Lucas."

______

you imagine? You're at work, you're doing your job and somebody comes in and shoots you. Just...puts a bullet in your head. 19 years old." Derek sighed, looking down at the CT scans.
