Chapter 99

The elders from other clan circled the diamond elder. Elder Rahm moved ahead of the others and spoke.

"You are doing a crime, no matter what level you are, we are all dwarves, we mustn't forget our unity, " he said.

"Look at the scared rat, how quickly you have changed your tone, my followers have told me all about how you have been harrasing my clan, when I was alive all the other clans used to give us proper respect but you have forgotten that now, in my time, we would take the heads off of undisciplined weaklings like you who tried to talk back to their elders, " he said.

Elder Rahm moved fast, too fast for Cara to see what was happening, she felt the air around her move and the ground vibrate, it was too fast for her body to realize the kind of power that had just moved past her, but then the diamond elder justoved his hand in a back hand slap and Elder Rahm was thrown away like a worm, he flew miles away very fast and hit the mountains wall, she didn't had to lok hard to see his body crumble badly.

Cara's heart gad stopped beating now, the other elders started the attack, a number of them at once, but they were like a bunch of coppers fighting a gold.

The diamond didn't even have to move from his place till all the elder's bodies crumbled too, his slight hits were too strong and there bones broke like papers.

Within seconds all the high Jades were dead and the stage was covered in their blood. There was a very silent and fearful atmosphere around them, especially from the Warauls, Seltics and Gaurians.

"Ha, vermin, I hadn't want to do so much bloodshed on my first day back, but these deaths have been like a welcome song for me, take their bodies away they will act as a reminder for this historic day, " the elder boasted. Even though the elder had a body like a human child, his voice and mannerism were too out of place and crazy.

The elders from the Krolle's startes dragging the bodies away, they were looking too happy. The other elders were kneeling too scared for their clan people. The golds and Jades were watching horrified.

"Oh and wait, I killed one other before, she was actually the first one, there wasn't much left of her body, by I think I kept something, " said the child suddenly. He raised his hand and a portal opened in the air, from which he pulled out something and threw it on the ground.

Cara first realized horrifyingly that it was someone's head, cut clean from the body, the white blonde hairs were wet and covered in blood. The head rolled and the face appeared.

Cara's world turned upside down when she saw her mother's features on the head. The same eyes and nose. All the color had left her face, and she seemed strangely like a statue. It was a most horrible imitation of her mother's face which was quite beautiful even she admitted that. Cara's stomach was twisting, she felt like something very unfair had happened with her, someone had taken something very precious away from her and she would never be happy. It was all gone horribly wrong in one moment.

Cara felt someone go past her, and then another one. She saw her father then her brother run at the Elder, both of their hammers out, her father very rarely bought it out, he only used it for crafting.

She screamed inside her head for them to stop, the elders weren't able to do anything what could they do. She felt the worst to see Stevin attack him, he looked so scared.

Cara heard two more thuds, two more bodies crunching, she closed her eyes and felt her body tremble badly.

But she opened her eyes when she heard her brother's cry. Her father was dead his face couldn't be seen properly with all the blood, but his body was lying far away near the edge.

Her brother was lying near the elder, clutching his stomach which was bleeding rapidly.

"Huh, an iron, my hand went straight through his body, it was like butter, let me put you out of your misery, " the elder said, his face turned up like he was looking at a cockroach.

Cara's body moved on its own and she ran leaving her hammer, it would take too much time, she reached Stevin just in time and spreading her arms shielded his body.

"Oh look another one, this one looks even weaker, I can't believe I was once like you, " said the elder and again raised his hand to strike.

Morris had been watching like the others at the bottom of the stage with his family kneeling. He had seen his clan elder killed he had always like the man, he had been very kind and always encouraged him. He had seen when the child elder had dropped the head, he hadn't recognized Cara's mom, but when her father had whispered her name he had realized. He looked at her standing shaking on the edge, like some other coppers who had been too shaken to move. His father had pulled him off in time when the elders were getting up. His heart ached looking at Cara wondering what she was going through. He had always liked her and watched her from afar, he had only ever agreed to Flint's invites to hang out with her. Her energy seemed very stable and familiar to him like his own clan. The shield wielders were all good and honored people, their duty was to become the shield of the weak his father and mothers had always told him.

He had watched with horror, Cara's father and brother also try to attack when they saw the head. He was sure his father would have done the same if it was his mother.

As he had expected unfortunately they were nothing compared to the diamond. The reality of the situation was sinking in when he saw that Stevin and iron, his body had been so weak that the elders hand had went straight through.

But then he saw Cara moving from the side. He had no idea why or how he was able to move but, breaking his father's hold over him, he had started running too.

Cara closed her eyes, accepting death. She wondered if she would hear the sound of her own body caving in, she heard a sound but didn't feel any pain. She opened her eyes slightly and saw a large shield she had seen somewhere before above her.

And then she saw that there was a boy carrying it and realised it was Morris, he had his eyes closed like her expecting certain death. But the shield had held, his hands were bleeding and some of his fingers broke from absorbing the blow, but the shield had abosrbed most of it.

"Fuck! They have no end, don't look so shocked, I had held back so that the same thing didn't happen again," said the diamond.

Morris's surprise turned to terror again when the strike came again and this time he felt the darkness take over him.

Three bodies went flying next, Morris who was the first in line, his upper body had separated clean from his legs, then next Cara's head was smashed badly and Stevin was already half dead and died from the terror alone.

Elder shadow had been watching this all with his heart torn. He had on idea what to do, if he made a move he could say goodbye to all his future plans, killing a diamond wouldn't be light work. Then he saw the diamond kill a dozen elders. He was even more torn now, things were happening too fast, he felt bad for not doing things before, what use was killing the diamond now, he had already killed so many elders. What happened next surprised him the most though. When he saw two coppers and an iron attack the diamond.

The iron amazed him too, but the two coppers made him the most shocked. He didn't think it was possible for someone from such a level could even walk in front of a diamond especially when he was angry and his surroundings were vibrating like this.

The shear power in the air was more than their Cara's density and they shouldn't even be able to stand in front of him.

This brought him out of his confusion, what was he doing, how can he be such a coward, when his people, small kids could stand against the evil, what was he thinking of. The acts done by Cara and Morris, encouraged Elder Shadow to make a move. He didn't just decide to kill the elder bit go beyond it.

The great hall at the top of the mountain shook as it's front door burst open. Rit who didn't like the festival had been sitting in his hut doing his work, but even he had started making his way downward when he heard things go weirdly silent suddenly. He had just descended two levels when he heard a loud sound behind him, he looked up and saw the heavy black doors flying away and a large wolf like creature with a long neck and white and red stripes leaped down growling.

As the beast made his way to the bottom level, the cat startes glowing and the light encased the whole mountian in a second.

The time itself froze inside the mountain and the elder looked around surprised. He looked up when he heard the growling beast, he shiuted and tried to move away but the beast engulfed the child whole and went to sleep on the stage.
