Great Sorcerer Phelan stood before the assembled apprentices, his commanding presence filling the entire arena. The anticipation in the air was palpable as the apprentices eagerly awaited instructions for the Tower Selections. He silenced the murmurs with a sweep of his hand, and all eyes turned to him.

"My esteemed apprentices," Phelan began, his voice resonating with authority. "The time has come for the Tower Selections. Today, I bring forth a change in the format of the Tower Selections. The previous ranking system shall be scrapped, and replaced by a combination of a round-robin and single-elimination tournament style. This new format will test your skills and mettle more intensely and competitively."

As he uttered these words, Phelan glanced at a certain tall and blonde-haired apprentice for a moment, which many did not notice. But August felt the gaze yet did not react.
