Chapter 18: An Unexpected Guest

_Zaria’s Pov_

The conversation with my mom ended the moment I was done with the shower. Then, it was time to call Kate and when I did, she busied my call. She immediately sent a text that she was busy, and she would call back. The text also included her concerns and asking if I was fine.

I quickly responded to the text before taking the new brush I saw in a basket bin. Noah was really organized to have had so many new brushes in his closet.

The moment I was done brushing, I proceeded to get the towel, wrapping it around my body while I opened the door. On the other side, I saw Noah standing right in front of the door and holding two dresses. This was clearly his mother’s doing.

I stared at him to which he rolled his eyes and set them on the bed. Then, he proceeded toward the door, leaving behind a comment: “You take too long in the bathroom.”

He slammed the door behind him.

He was still mad at me. I needed to apologize to him.
