Little Rest

They sat on a tree trunk, but I didn't. I placed the bag next to Elina and looked around.

"Felix? Where are you going?" Steve asked.

"I need a moment," I replied vaguely. Some things were best left unsaid. Well, my life was embarrassing enough; and I died in an uncool way. It's better this world never finds out.

"Okay, we'll wait here!"

I wandered roughly 20 meters, perhaps more, while searching for a suitable spot. I found a secluded area with small, sturdy leaves—four leaves were enough. I walked further, about 50 meters, into the darkest area, and then I began my business. The smell shouldn't reach them.

I pulled down my pants, removed my underwear.

"Is this what it feels like to be a stripper?"

I couldn't feel comfortable removing my underwear in public. I sat on a tree trunk, my knee's high, with my feet on the ground, like a bird. Surrounded by bushes, this area was perfect for emergencies like this.

My poop came out, 20 percent, and I could feel it. It was starting to come out loudly; maybe I had constipation; it was too hard. At 50 percent, I just waited for it to finish.

*Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.* Suddenly, a wolf, similar to the previous encounter, peeked at me.

Steve sat leaned against a tree, holding his sword. Sonia meditated in a lotus position, while Elina, beside Sonia, observed her attentively.

"Where did Felix wander off to?" Elina asked, curiosity etched on her face.

"He just needed a moment," Steve replied, knowing the real reason. "Ah, walking is so tiresome. We should've packed some food, at least salt to stave off stomach issues."

"No, it's not worth the risk. We might get disqualified," Elina responded.

"Then just a bottle of wa—"

The rustling bushes drew Steve's attention. Leaves rustled rhythmically, followed by the appearance of three wolves, mainly targeting Steve, considering him the alpha of the group.

Sonia was in the midst of upgrading her healing skill, but it was interrupted when the wolves attacked. Sonia yelped, and even though Elina reacted, she couldn't move due to shock.

"Surprise attack!" Steve shouted.

"Hah!" Elina fended off one wolf with Sonia's staff, shielding her, but Sonia still remained frozen.

Steve couldn't let the wolves harm the girls. "It may disadvantage the girls!" So, he decided to deal with them.

"Create fire spear!" Elina, usually shy, changed in times of need. Her spear grazed one wolf after she dodged, putting the wolf on edge.

"Sonia! Pull yourself together!" Elina shook Sonia, struggling to fight solo.

"Sword slash!" Steve slashed one wolf, buying a moment. However, the wolf evaded Steve's strike, and its mate wounded his back. Though the combat suit lessened the impact, it tore from the attack.

"Heavy slash!" Steve severed one wolf, but the other successfully attacked his back, pushing him into the bushes. The wolf lunged for Steve's neck, met by his sword, but he stopped it with his sword, fighting while lying in the bushes.

"Create wind slash!" Elina fought the wolf with Sonia's staff in her right hand and her own wand in her left, protecting Sonia.

"Sonia! Assist us!" Steve pleaded, but she remained in a state of shock, her former arrogance gone.

"A w-wolf! Surprise attack!" I jumped from the trunk I was sitting on, with a sausage still partially in my butt. After landing, it snapped and dropped to the floor.

The wolf jumped directly at my neck, but instinctively, I ducked. "That was dangerous!" I felt my poop retracting, and the pressure made me aware of my need to poop.

*Growl!*

"Create sand." I could manipulate four elements, but not as proficiently as Elina. The sand gathered in my left hand from my magic. The wolf tried to attack again, and as expected, it aimed for my neck. I jumped to the side, throwing the sand in my hand.

The wolf yelped and was temporarily blinded. It would attack me again once it regained sight.

"Create sand." I refilled the sand in my left hand immediately. My magic was depleted; that's why craftsmen are so weak.

"I need something to throw or to smash its head," but within a few seconds, the wolf could see me again. I couldn't find a stone or stick, but I noticed something similar on the ground. The wolf jumped at me again.

Using the same tactic, I jumped to the side, threw sand in the wolf's eyes, and this time, I picked up my own dung, crushed it with my hand, and smeared it on the wolf's nose. I made sure the poop got inside its nostrils.

"It can't smell for a few hours with this."

This tactic was used in one of my novels, but I never saw it effective against enemies with no sense of smell.

"Create water." I washed my hands quickly, and my butt too, but I couldn't remove the smell. Then, I saw my underwear hanging on the trunk where I had been sitting.

"If I pick it up, the wolf will see me." So, I ran with just my pants. I could run better, feel the wind. Then, I found a bloody area.

"This place isn't where I'm from! I'm lost."

The bloody area had a torn cloth, and I picked up the sword. Then I heard Steve's voice,

"Sonia! HELP! US!" Steve's screams echoed through the air.

I rushed towards the source of the voice and found a dead wolf, half on the ground. Elina stood there, holding both the staff and want fighting another wolf, while Sonia sat in a W position, staring at the ground. Steve was lying in the bushes, pinned by a wolf. However, there was something more peculiar about this wolf.

"Unique monster!" I exclaimed. It had the same color fur, but a unique monster had blue fur at the tip.

Unique monsters, also known as the right-hand alphas of the group or general monsters, possess superior intelligence compared to regular monsters. In the gaming world, they are often found guarding boss gates or holding their own treasures. That's why my priority was to help Steve first.

"Ahhhhh!" It was a do-or-die situation.

"Felix, no!" Steve yelled, trying to stop me.

I swung the sword I had picked up, the very one Steve have used, against the unique monster. Yet, it remained impassive. However, it showed no reaction. If this monster had ten thousand health, my attack might have only dealt five damage—not even enough to tickle it. Yet it shifted its attention toward me.
