The moments after the voicemail and getting to my father had been a blur. Goliath had called a council connection of his and tracked down three addresses where he could have been staying. Father dearest had been at the second.
Just like Father had always been, he was smug with his security. I am not sure if he ever had anyone fight back or maybe he never thought the outcomes of the ones that had were a reflection of his ability to keep intruders at bay, either way, he only had four men outside of his home. Only one more guard than the doors he had to the home.
If we wanted to enter the house without disturbing them, we could have easily used any window. I didn’t want to leave them undisturbed. I left them unable to interrupt.
