Mini Coma

Thane finishes his food and turns to Conner before saying "Take care of the trays. I'm gonna carry him back and put him to bed." Conner nods and says "Sounds good to me. I remember my first day..." He shudders and goes back to eating as Thane walks around the table.

Thane shakes the little guy, hoping to wake him up but when he doesn't move, he pulls him up, and with Conner's help, they put him on Thane's back. When Thane's hands go to his thighs, he can't help but notice again how small the guy is.

When he stands up, he almost weighs nothing! The wind will blow this little turd away before anything else happens to him! That's it, he's going to fatten this little brat up. Thane nods to Conner before walking back to the dorms.

As Thane reaches the door, he pulls his keys out and unlocks the door before walking in. He walks over to the kid's bed and tosses him on the bed like a sack of potatoes. Valen's eyes flutter open as he mumbles something and rolls over, going right back to sleep.

Thane shakes his head and walks into the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. When he comes back, he still sees the little guy curled up on his side. Thane sighs and grabs his extra blanket, putting it on him so he doesn't catch a cold.

When Thane looks down at the little guy, he can't help but notice how girly the dude looks when sleeping. He sighs and tucks the blanket around him before walking over to his bed and turning off the light. When he turns over to his side, he can't help but look at the little guy's sleeping face.

When the light from the window hits me in the face, I groan and roll over to my other side. My whole body hurts!! When my stomach growls from hunger, I slowly pull my blanket back and slowly sit up. I probably look like the rising dead...

My butt muscles even hurt... is that even possible? I slowly start stretching but when I see the blanket covering me, I pause. My mind goes blank before I think back to last night. I was eating dinner and then... and then... and then, what!?

I don't remember! Horror washes over me when I think about what could have happened. I've never been that tired before! I reach up and slap both my cheeks as I mentally scold myself. I can't do that again!

"What's your problem now?" I hear Thane ask making me jump. I look over and realize that he's laying in his bed reading a book with a deep frown on his face while watching me. I awkwardly clear my throat and say "I... I just realized that I passed out last night and can't remember how I got back to the room."

Thane continues to watch me with a frown as he says "Yeah, I brought you back." I slowly nod my head and wait to see if he's discovered anything but he just continues to stare at me with a frown. I awkwardly smile and say "Uh... right. Thanks! I've never been that tired before.. haha..."

Thane sighs and says "Today's our day off. Get dressed. I'm gonna take you somewhere." My interest is slightly peaked as I nod and say "Okay, just give me a minute." I step out of the bed but when I go to step with my other leg, it gets caught in the blanket causing me to fall.

I land hard and face first! Thane watches with disdain until I sit up with a busted lip. Blood trickles down my lip as I struggle to untangle my foot and get to the bathroom. "You've got to be kidding me!" Thane says as he closes the book and stands up.

He walks over and helps me untangle my foot, allowing me to run to the bathroom. I'm a clutz by nature so this isn't anything new but it doesn't stop it from still hurting. I lean over the sink and turn the water on.

I lift a cup of cool water up to my lips with my hand as Thane walks into the bathroom behind me. He looks at me with irritation and says "You can't clean it that way or it might become infected. How did you survive this long in life and what possessed you to sign up for this!?"

He reaches over me from behind and opens the medicine cabinet. He pulls out some ointment and a small bandage before saying "Let me see." I wave him off and say "I'm fine, really! I'm used to it." I hold my hand out for the stuff but Thane just slaps my hand out of the way and says "Sit on the toilet."

I go to argue but the look he cuts me has me tucking tail and walking over to the toilet. He waits until I sit before walking over and saying "Head up" I try to argue once more before giving in. This is awkward...

I lift my head and try to avoid eye contact. When he dabs the ointment on my lip, I jerk and suck in, startling him in the process. He looks at me with disbelief before smacking me in the head and saying "Sit still!"

My eyes water as I look up and glare at him. His irritation slowly fades as he sighs and says "Alright, I'm sorry I hit you. Stop looking at me like that. You're making me feel like I've beaten a puppy." I keep glaring at him as he finished putting the ointment on and says "It doesn't look like it'll need a bandaid. See, it wasn't so bad, right?"

I continue to glare at him in silence causing him to chuckle and say "Alright, enough glaring. Get dressed and I'll make it up to you." He walks over and puts the ointment back before walking out of the bathroom and shutting the door.

I reach up and flip him off before gently touching my head. That freaking hurt! My own parents don't even hit me!!
