The figure's chilling words echoed in Alex's mind as they staggered away from the empty throne room, their legs barely able to carry the weight of the revelation. The haunting glow of the golden-eyed figure was gone, but its presence lingered within Alex's very core. The hall they were in stretched on endlessly, the marble floor cold under their feet. Sunlight, dim and almost alien, streamed through the tall arched windows, casting long shadows that seemed to stretch and twist with every flicker of movement.
