Introductory Lecture

I had scuffled home. made some of the finest cup 'o' noodles ever and rolled into bed. Opening my laptop and finding the video.

"St. Cain's trust is formed of the 9 greatest Colleges in Tyr. Named after the 9 circles. i will now begin a premilinary test to see what college level to prep you for."

the authors voice was calm and planned out. very different from there appearance.

The video turned off and instead a static covered the screen.

"You shouldn't be able to see me anymore so i can test your comparability. please answer yes or no to my questions. I will now begin the first question."

my speakers cut out with a familiar static.

"Can you hear my voice?"

the same as in the class it's as if it is speaking into my ears directly.

"Yes"

"question 2, Do you consent to mental probing?"

i have no reason to deny, it probably means if he can ask me more questions.

"yes"

a sharp zap touched each ear and my vision disappeared. my thoughts became quieter and my mind began randomly firing. symbols id never seen before crossed my eyes. then symbols from korean, mandarin, russian languages.

"Probing complete"

my vision came back, not sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me or not. i stared at the wooden table in my room. counting the grain to check my vision was still good.

"question 3, do you consent to physical probing?"

"yes"

my previous good posture disintegrates and the tea in my hand pours on my lap as my wrist went limp. i could still think. but every muscle was relaxed but randomly my muscles would twitch.

"probing complete"

i picked myself up and used some damp towels from my table to dry myself off.

"final question, do you want to publish your results. this may influence sponsors for scholarships in future."

do i want the spotlight? it might be a pain if it turns out i did terribly, and if i did amazing it could give me a target on my back.

"no"

"you can input your name at any time in future, however others will see your scores without a name."

so a bit like a scoreboard. i hope that it doesn't effect much, good or bad this early anything abnormal could cause problems.

the screen popped on but unlike before the image was clearer like looking at the name through a pain of glass and not through a video. a purple box appeared on my screen showing a few things.

this must have to do with the mental probing.

"this give you a mental score of 31.5%"

Okay luckily i didn't publish that result. could've been real embarrassing.

"your muscle density is 34% of maximum. your reactivity is 59%. finally, physical limit 12%"

12… okay this could've been better to say the least. so i guess ill be headed for a regular college then.

"this gives you a physical score of 35%"

2 D's. that's a first in my life. guess it's just on another level to what i'm used to. what kind of monsters made it this hard anyway.

i'll leave it there for tonight. i'll watch some more in the morning.
