Chapter Four

TSLEA- FOUR

Pine carefully observed his surroundings and groaned as he saw Perry sleeping soundly while holding his hands.

He sighed heavily as he felt the pain in his lower body. It seems that Perry felt that he was already awake and hurriedly opened her eyes and stared at him like she almost lost him.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know." Perry's sob made him want to smack her to make her silent but he can't do it as he had no energy to do it. He simply smiled and shook his head to indicate that he is alright but the pain made him groan uncomfortably as he tried to remain conscious but his eyes were closing involuntarily.

A week after, he learned that he was confined because of the complications after an abortion. It was fortunate that one of the housekeepers monitored his body daily and realized that there was abnormal bleeding and immediately called an hospital.

"One more word from you and I will really give you a good smack in the head." Pine muttered with an aggrieved voice. " It's not like you know everything about this child's body.." He added as he wanted to quietly enjoy the morning breeze in the hospital park.

"I just didn't think that you are also going to be in grave danger as your soul occupied Margareth's body." Perry lamented.

"So you have an idea how we are like this?" He asked.

Perry cleared her throat and nodded slowly."I told you that this world is a little different from what we know. Larissa Macain and Margareth Lee are both dead in our previous world."

"Larissa Macain. Margareth Lee" he repeated as he tried to remember where he heard that name. He gasped as he realized that Larissa was the actress who died in a scandalous car accident and Margareth Lee was a well known pianist who committed suicide. He remembered that news because both were a graduate of his alma mater and it was quite a discussion around the alumni society. "People died for us to live" He was uncomfortable with the idea that in order for him to have this second chance someone needs to die for his sake.

"Perry, how is it for you?" He asked after a moment of silence.

Perry smiled sadly." Larissa was a pitiful person. She just wanted to be loved but it was really tragic. I just hope that she is happy how I live her life as Larissa Macain."

"Do we really need to live as what they are?" Pine asked and didn't wait for an answer as he started to stand up from his seat.

"Perry, you are not Larissa. You live however you want."

"Tell me, how are you going to live your life?" Perry asked. " Are you going to look for Regine and remain as her ever loyal dog?" She added.

Pine grimaced as he heard what Perry said.

"You don't talk about her like that to me."

Perry smirked as if she was content with what she was looking at.

"Don't tell me how to live this life." Perry said before leaving him dumbfounded by her outburst.
