Magic sword mage!

Once the hood of the mage wearing white clothing were off, the strands of his beautiful golden hair flowed downwards, his heterochromia pupils were visible to the naked eyes.

"Y-You!"

Luke exclaimed, his hazel eyes opening wide. The mages blue and green colored eyes shone from the light reflecting from his pupils.

"Th-The magic sword mage... Sir Levi!"

Luke muttered between groans.

The 'Magic sword mage' was a famous figure that had hailed from the kingdom of Zestril for not only his talents in magic but also, his mastery in swordsmanship. But what makes him even more frightening was his gift!

Levi looked coldly at the fallen Luke and slowly drew near with each step he took.

"Oh, so you have heard of me, not bad. I guess my reputation must have spread even to the great Alberta kingdom."

He spoke.

"Though, it's a shame you have to die. Now that your legs are severed and is now untreated, your no longer worth saving."

Levi uttered coldly.

Luke's face winced as he gritted his teeth enduring the pain from his severed legs. He was losing a large quantity of blood as his face slowly started to lose their color.

Levi slowly reaches towards his sword that was sheath and hidden inside his robe.

The sword he held in his hand was also a mythical sword and a very special one at that. The sword of 'Wrath' A sword which inflict terrible pain onto any it cuts.

Levi stood over the body of Luke who was grimacing in pain as he tried his best to stop the blood flowing from his severed knees.

"You don't have to worry; I personally do not enjoy tormenting the weak and injured. I can promise to end it all in one swing."

Levi said calmly.

Luke could only smile at that; he had lived for many years now and had participated on many battlefields. He wasn't as strong as Matthew, the leader of the royal knight also known as the strongest within the Alberta kingdom. He was still one of its guardians.

(Heh, to think my life would end by the hands of such a fellow)

He thought.

Levi raised his sword upwards as sunlight reflected off the surface of the blade, he then looked at Luke with pitying gaze before he brought the sword downwards, but then-.

"?!"

Levi stopped his swing and instinctively stepped to the side evading a blast of wind by a hair's breadth.

"General, Luke!"

The blue-haired mage came running towards Luke who was laying on the ground, groaning in pain.

"Hey! Are you okay?!"

She asked while kneeling down next to him. She wanted to use healing magic on him but, with Levi standing only a few meters away she couldn't take the risk. Of course, ignoring your opponent's midbattle was no different from suicide.

"Guh! Le-Leave me behind... I'm as good as dead anyway, leave this place."

Luke muttered as blood slid down his lips. His hands felt weak just moving his finger was already becoming a struggle.

"Tch! What are you saying?! I can't just leave you here! Not when there might still be a chance to save you!"

She raises her voice so loud that it was no different from a scream. Levi looked at them with disinterest, before he started to move closer to the female mage.

"I have a suggestion... why don't you try dying together. Sounds good, right?"

He smirks before swinging his sword towards her back.

Swoosh!

"?!"

A square shaped transparent barrier suddenly appeared behind the blue-haired woman, easily stopping his sword. However, from the point where his blade made contact a small dent could be seen there.

(Oh? She casted a barrier while I was drawing closer to her.... Interesting)

He thought. Normally barrier shaped spells took at least five to six seconds to cast. He moved behind her and swing his sword in an instant, which means she was already preparing her spell even while she was in the middle of her conversation with Luke.

Levi suddenly moved forward swinging his sword once again, this time with enough force to easily cut through a piece of wood.

Boom!

The barrier shattered instantly, and small fragments flew everywhere.

"Tch! Mother of earth pierce my target, Earth spear!"

She chanted.

Soon the soil undulated as many earth spears protrudes from the ground from a radius of fifty meters, creating a circler formation around her. Sensing the immediate danger to his life Levi instantly leapt away evading the spears threatening to pierce his body.

"Tch! Light cannon!"

Seeing the earth spears protruding constantly from the ground Levi grew annoyed as he decided to cast a spell to mow down the endless spears.

A magic formation appeared before his palm as a beam of light condensing before subsequently shot out!

Boom!!

The beam of light destroyed most of the earth spears raising a cloud of dust in its path.

"Kyaa!"

The female mage screamed as she was almost blown away by the Shockwave from the attack!

"Guh, run... Casey."

Luke said to the female mage, his eyes slowly closing. Casey gritted her teeth as she saw him closing his eye. She finally sighed in resignation as she hid inside the dust cloud to sneak away unnoticed.

Finally, the dust clouds subsided, and the view of the ground became clear. What greeted everyone's eyes was a large crater roughly 30 centimeters wide and 20 meters deep.

Levi scanned his eyes around the battlefield and hummed to himself.

"Strange, I don't sense that woman's presence anywhere. Did she run away?"

He wondered.

"Haah... haah.. haah."

The body of Luke could be seen as he was on the verge of breathing his last breath. Levi ignored his presence as though he had lost interest. Instead, he was more focus on finding the woman who was there previously.

"We've been here for approximately 30 minutes now, his majesty should be setting up that 'Annihilation cannon' About now."

They didn't have much time left. If he had used his gift in the first attack, then that woman would have been dead by now. Levi sighed. As he turned his head towards a certain part of the battlefield.

Clang!

The sound of metal clashing resounded the battlefield, as the swords of Daniel and Aiden clashed against each other constantly. The ground exploded into a fierce boom as they both moved at high speed their silhouettes vanishing and reappearing occasionally as their swords met head on!

"Not bad, as expected from the kingdom of Alberta. Be it that man Matthew or that woman over there, there really are a lot of strong people in Alberta aren't there?"

Daniel said in the brief moment they're sword came to a halt. Aiden didn't reply, instead he adjusted his grip onto his sword. Cold sweats running down his forehead.

(His skills definitely out class my own)

He thought bitterly.

While Aiden was proud and arrogant, he wasn't stupid. He knew when to admit when someone is better than him.

(If skills alone aren't enough then)

"Hmm?"

Daniel frown sensing the change in the aura of Aiden, suddenly the blade of Aiden's sword began emitting a bright glow as he thrust his blade forward in a single motion.

"Extend."

Aiden muttered.

"?!"

Swoosh...!

The blade of his sword extended and shot forward!

"Guh!"

Daniel hurriedly shifted his body to the left as the blade of the sword shot passed him while carrying a heavy breeze. The blade easily covered a distance of fifty meters, slicing apart anything and everything in its path of trajectory.

"Tch!"

Aiden clicked his tongue as he saw that his attack had missed its target. Soon the blade of the sword retreated back towards its hilt. Daniel slowly stepped back to create more distance between them as he saw the attack from Aiden just now.

(I see so, that's the sword that is said to be able to extend as far as the holder wants)

Daniel thought, as he observed the sword in Aiden's hands. The sword of 'Extinction' a sword that can extend its blade as far as the user wants, as long as it's given the necessary amount of mana.

"How many great swords do you people have!"

Daniel exclaimed, half exasperatedly. However, Aiden once again ignore his question and closed the distance between them once again and swung his sword. Daniel also reacted immediately and swung his sword.

They once again began exchanging blows while moving at high speeds, their swing give the false image of multiple swords.

Meanwhile, a short distance away the battle between Maya and Lizze became fiercer as time passed.
