'What did you and the god of earth do behind my back?' - Seltra

Dovah freezes for an instant. So he really did something. Based on what Ren told about the spirit remnants he followed, they should traces of somekind of trade between them.

"How did you know?" - Dovah

'You first.' - Seltra

"Sigh.. Very well. A strong human soul in exchange for my help in defending Earth against dimensional invaders." - Dovah

'Why?' - Seltra

"I cannot say anything more. Now tell me how you came to know about this." - Dovah

Still the same. Always hiding things. Fine then, two can play at this game.

'A wandering spirit near Earth found traces of the soul transfer. It was a damaged spirit and Earth didn't have high spiritual energy so it followed the traces here. I found the spirit and healed it. Then it told me.' - Seltra

".... Alright. If there is nothing else then you may take your leave." - Dovah

Even though he is quite secretive, I believe things will be alright. I have known him for eons. He is not one to do evil. So he definitely won't put that soul in danger.

Using magic I then disappeared from the palace in a blue flash of light.

-- Dovah's POV --

I saw her leaving in a flash of blue light. I then head towards the meeting room to discuss the matters regarding invaders.

Don't worry Seltra. I won't let a repeat of that happen ever again. I will definitely protect you even if it costs me my life.

Using my divine senses I saw a house where a baby with multicolored hair and eyes was crawling around. The parents were looking at their child filled with love and happiness.

Lia or should I now call you Rain. No matter what, I believe you will one day find happiness for this world and for yourself.

I stopped viewing, then pushed open the doors before me to see divine beings already gathered and discussing strategies to counter the invaders.

"Now, let us start." - Dovah

-- Ren's POV --

(4 Months Later)

In the open meadow there was nothing strange to be seen. But if anyone was present here, they would know that something strange is definitely happening here. The spiritual energy was being gathered towards me. To someone with spirit or mana sensing abilities they would be able to see a blue translucent gas gathering on to a certain shining spot. That shining spot would be me.

I gather as much as I can right now and absorb it to let my spirit grow and recover. After my spirit becomes fully energised, I switch to exhausting my powers to the limits. After I arrive at a near death state, I switch to energy gathering again. This yielded much better results than before.

Recovering and breaking down... repeating it again and again. Now this is what I call Soul Forge. Previously back on earth, somewhere I became much too focused on finding and gathering more energy and I forgot about exercising my soul.

I don't know how many days have passed. Mother has visited me sometimes. I enjoy talking with her. At this time I have already started treating her like my real mother.

In these months my soul had grown very big. As it gets bigger the growth seems to become less. But I know it won't be a problem. Once the growth reaches that point something incredible will happen.

During this time my spirit control has grown. My essence storage organ has also grown bigger. The capacity as a result has increased. I still haven't managed to fully understand mana. I am close tough. It really is magic.

The major thing I achieved during this time will be related to my self insight. I have a much deeper understanding of how my soul works now. I can now manipulate complex spiritual structures.

I can also see much farther now. Normally it should have been only possible to see things only inside my spirit field. It was like I was the centre of an invisible sphere and I could see everything inside it but the outside was completely black. During my training I managed to resonate my spirit field with its surroundings. This was now possible due to my perfect spirit control. As a result my spirit vision expanded. Now I can see beyond that invisible sphere but if I try to look too far, it gradually fades.

Right now I am trying to understand the mental section of my soul. I was in for a rude surprise. My memory was like a house made of sticks.

So many wasted spiritual circuits as I call them letting the essence go to waste.

'I need to make some major mental overhauls.' - Ren

My memory is completely random. Everything is placed here and there with no specific order. So for recalling them, each memory is linked or associated with other memories. So if I think about a phone, then due to these links I can recall my knowledge regarding phones. But the more complex and detailed the memories, the more links there will be. When there are too many links and we don't periodically use these links or recall the memories, then it will become more difficult to do so as time goes on. The problem seems to be related to the mechanism behind these links.

This also leads to memory duplications resulting in some deja vu situations. Now I know why I had those when I was young. After I started practicing meditation it got a little better.

People always find it hard to remember things. I wonder how the minds of people with eidetic memory works.

What is the best way to improve my memory? Links are effective but the mechanisms behind them makes it troublesome.

This is only regarding memory storing and recalling. There are problems with the analytical and other sections as well. Wasted calculations or extra unnecessary ones to be precise. Unnecessary links in the middle causing distractions and very long calculation time.

I never thought I would get this jealous of a computer.... Wait, that's it. I only need to restructure my spirit circuits related to my mental section to that of a computer system. The best part is that unlike a computer, spirit circuits have much higher capabilities.

Now... How should I implement this?

I arrived at the place to see how Ren is doing. Oh.. his progress is quite fast.

"MANA SENSE" - Seltra

Using my spell I saw what he was doing. Hm.. He is trying to improve his mental abilities. The structure is quite alright. It's a good thing that he is not blindly doing things. He is not tampering with his own emotions. Creating a prototype spirit structure which is completely seperated and expanding it. Good, so if anything bad happens, he won't be affected. Once he completes it he will slowly do the transition.

"Ren, I am proud of you. It won't be long until you become a spiritual being and I hope you can reincarnate soon.. my son." - Seltra
