46. Rasengan

"A powerful jutsu?" muttered Jiraiya looking at the little boy beside him.

"How about this?" said Jiraiya as he held his palm facing the sky and a blue ball of chakra appeared on his hand.

Aiko knew this jutsu as it was the one Minato had used to push the weird creature back and the one Jiraiya used to defeat the black haired man. He could feel the high density of chakra contained in the orb held in Jiraya's hand.

The thing that surprised him was that Jiraiya and Minato had done it without any hand seals, creating the orb instantaneously.

"This is an 'A rank' jutsu, do you want to learn it?" asked Jiraiya looking at the boy as he casually hit the rasengan towards a tree on the roadside, which upon contact dug into the trunk of the tree as if it was butter.

Aiko watched feeling little excited at the might of the jutsu as he had a feeling that Jiraiya wasn't using his full power just now. So, he eagerly nodded his head.

"Well, that will technically make you my student, will you accept me as your master?" he asked with a bit of anticipation in his voice and a sly smile on his face, Jiraiya had never seen someone so talented so young, even Minato and Orochimaru weren't this strong and cool headed at his age.

'Ding! Will you accept Jiraiya as your Master?

He heard a notification from the system after a long time, by now Aiko had realised these notifications only came to him during decisions which seemed to be significant ones in his life.

'So, this is a significant decision.' thought Aiko contemplating a bit.

"I don't plan on starting any great revolution, Jiraiya san." he said looking at the path ahead of him remembering the conversation he had with him

"Jeez brat, don't think too much, I told you I will do it myself and you are still light years away from being strong enough anyway." said Jiraiya huffing a little, though he thought the boy could be the 'child of prophecy' , that wasn't the only reason, travelling with the kid, Jiraiya realised that there was something about him that made people lower their guard towards him and he also genuinely wanted to nurture the boy and see to what heights he could reach.

"Hmph, so do you want to learn it or not?" he asked again, acting as if he was angry from the comment.

"Ok," said Aiko with a small smile and selected 'yes' in the notification.

"We will start the training once we reach the next village, This jutsu is called the Rasengan, it was actually created by Minato." said Jiraiya introducing the jutsu to the red haired boy.

"Minato san created it?" muttered Aiko in admiration as he remembered Kushina telling him that, 'Hiraishin' was also something Minato had learned on his own.

"What do you know about chakra transformations?" asked Jiraiya planning to explain the basics before he could arrange the necessary training tools.

"Chakra can be transformed to different types of natures, like Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning and Earth." said Aiko as he had read about these in the scrolls. "Jiraiya san what is this dark nature?" he asked the question that was on his mind since yesterday.

"Apart from these four nature types, there are many other types which manifest in only a certain group of individuals, it is called Kekkei Genkai as they are usually passed on through bloodlines." said Jiraiya explaining to the red haired boy.

"The Dark nature type is one such Kekkei Genkai ability, about its origin all I have heard are stories, It is said that it is a bloodline that was granted to the followers of the demons, but years ago their whole clan was said to be exterminated along with the sealing of the demon." said Jiraiya with a grim expression on his face.

"What is a demon?, Is it some type of spirit?" asked Aiko curiously as it was a new term to him.

"Not exactly, Demons are life forms from the other world, they have innately very strong abilities, It was believed that once they came close to conquering the whole world, but was stopped and sealed by the priestess of the Land of demons." answered Jiraiya. "Though now people consider it as folklore there is still the position of priestess being passed from generation to generation in the Land of demons." he added, remembering his time in the country.

"Oh… so is that ability bad?" he asked, thinking if there was some problem because the people with this chakra nature were all exterminated.

"Power in and of itself isn't bad….The problem was with the deeds of the people who had this power, there is nothing to worry, This was the first time even I had come across someone with this type of nature transformation." He had already passed on the information about the Jashin cult and dark nature user to Konoha and hoped that they would investigate further and get some useful information.

"Back to the subject, chakra transformation can be divided into two types first is as you said Nature transformation with five basic types and second is shape transformation, Rasengan is the jutsu that capitalises on the shape transformation and it can even be called the pinnacle of shape transformation." continued Jiraiya explaining basic knowledge to Aiko

"Oh" said Aiko, feeling even eager to learn this technique.

"Here" said Jiraiya handing Aiko a bag filled with what looked like balloons. Aiko held them in his hand and found out that they were filled with some kind of liquid.

"This jutsu took Minato three years to perfect and to make it easier to teach others, it is divided into three stages, and training with this is the first stage." said Jiraiya, noticing the red haired boy's confusion.

"The first step is to brust this water balloon by making your chakra spin inside it, Like this!" said Jiraiya holding a bigger one compatible for his size and Aiko saw that the water balloon suddenly distorted widely and brust splashing the water inside it.

"Keep the chakra level injected into the balloon constant and try to burst it only through spinning the chakra inside it." reminded Jiraiya motioning for the boy to try it.

"You can only practice it till night, we need to be on our way in the morning." he added, looking at the sun which was about to set, they were inside the forest on the outskirts of the village they planned to stay for the night.

Aiko nodded his head and held a water balloon in his hand and activated his calm mind skill and recalled what Jiraiya had just shown him. He injected chara into the water balloon and imagined it rotating inside the balloon and saw the balloon slowly distort becoming kind of flat as he increased the speed of rotation.

Aiko frowned a little because even if the balloon was distorting it was nowhere near bursting, he stopped for a moment closing his eyes as he recalled how Jiraiya's water balloon had brust and realised that the distortion on its surface was very nonuniform.

'So the rotation has to be in multiple directions' he thought and went back to injecting the chakra but this time he tried to imagine the chakra swirling in different directions, but it was difficult as all he had was an image of Jiraiya's demonstration.

So, he first tried to rotate the chakra in opposite directions and saw that it was working and soon added slight variations finally forming enough disturbance in the water, bursting the balloon. Aiko frowned a little looking at his hand as the balloon had only broken out of a point instead of bursting into pieces like Jiraiya's had done.

"You did it!!" said Jiraiya, his voice containing the shock he felt as he looked at the red haired boy like he was looking at a monster.
