9. Moment Of Peace.

I lay in the soft, warm bed with Damon, his body still clinging to mine as he peacefully slept. The anticipation of Mariella's arrival filled the room. The plan to nest the men was straightforward, at least in the eyes of the women in our pack. The game was simple, but I couldn't help but wonder what could go wrong.

After all, I had always been the one being nested, not the one doing the nesting. It was a role reversal that held uncertainty, but I trusted my instincts and decided to go with them. As time passed, the door creaked open, and Mariella entered the room. The scent of pheromones filled the air, tailored specifically to suit her.

I spoke in a hushed voice, barely audible, "Come over to the bed, and I'll explain how our pack can recover."

Mariella joined me in bed, wasting no time as she cast a spell and undressed herself. With care, she positioned herself behind Damon, who was still tightly wrapped around me, sleeping but displaying a hint of pain in his face. I yearned to ease his suffering, to take away his pain.

Turning to Mariella, I explained our plan. "We will nest the entire pack, with us females taking charge. It's your task, along with the wolves, to find a suitable room, a nest. As you can see, your nesting instinct will guide you, and the males won't even notice. You'll gather everything necessary, including food, following your instincts. Once the nest is ready, we will start bringing in the others, starting with the individual next to me. And one of us will need to be in the nest, purring. I can teach you the right purr if needed."

Mariella pondered for a moment before voicing her concern, "But how do we ensure the rest of the pack enters the nest without the males trying to nest us? This seems like the best way to recover. Oh, if only I had been wiser. If only I had been here earlier, perhaps those three perfect pups would have had a chance."

Her eyes then caught sight of something unexpected. "And what is that pink fluffy towel next to Damon?"

I said, my voice filled with anticipation, "That would be my very own alpha female book. Not sure if Damon told you about it, but it came to me when it sensed his distress."

I could feel the warmth of Damon's body as he lay beside me, his relaxed form wrapped around mine. The room was filled with a soft, comforting scent, a mix of our combined pheromones. Damon, my alpha, my mate, and my protector, was still fast asleep, and I gently stroked his magnificent body, purring to keep him in peaceful slumber.

I continued, my voice filled with empathy, "Poor Damon. He had never felt such pain before. I hope this nesting will help him heal."

Mariella, Damon's true soulmate and pack member, spoke softly, her voice tinged with remorse. "He will blame himself so hard and for so long. I blame myself too, and my stupid hormones. I seem to lose my mind every time I'm pregnant and I attack you out of jealousy and possessiveness. I'm sorry for making your life in this pack hell. I can't promise that I'll be better. I know myself too well. It just comes on, and..."

I interrupted Mariella, my voice filled with understanding, "You are growing. You are a creature with no past, no childhood, no upbringing. It is up to us to raise you. It will take time and many mistakes, but let's see if we can guide you."

Mariella looked at me, her eyes filled with gratitude. "You are one hell of a wise creature. I never thought of it that way, but you're right. Plus, Damon has always given me everything I wanted without me having to think. It's become a bad habit of mine. Thank you for giving me something to work on."

Mariella lay in bed for a while, her hand caressing Damon's perfect skin, her gaze fixated on his flawless features. I released my pheromones, a subtle yet intoxicating scent, permeating the room.

Mariella's voice broke the silence, filled with a newfound sense of purpose. "I'm getting a pretty powerful instinct to go make a nest. I'll let you know where we're going."

I nodded in agreement, my voice filled with anticipation. "Yeah, go ahead. I'll keep Damon asleep, and then we'll start gathering the other men for the nest."

Mariella was overcome by an intense urge, driven by the nesting instinct. She hurriedly left the room, unlocking a specific pheromone, and made her way to the wolves. They were already in their wolf form, ready to venture out. But as soon as the scent of the pheromone reached them, they transformed into their human selves and attentively listened. Their instinct for nesting awakened, and together, the three women embarked on a quest to find a suitable nest.

After some searching, they stumbled upon a vast room with an enormous bed. Determined, the women diligently began arranging the nest, handpicking only the specified bedding. Instead of exploring other rooms, they headed straight to the storerooms, rummaging through its contents. If any room caught their attention along the way, they would investigate, but since this nest was for recovery and not for sexual activities, no bedding that had witnessed such encounters would suffice. Everything had to be fresh and immaculate.

The choice of materials was based on their sensory perception and smell. Silk, satin, and cotton were deemed the best options. They delved into the storeroom, feeling everything, and took whatever felt right, be it a duvet, a curtain, or a pillowcase. The room was no longer intended for sexual encounters but for recuperation. The comfort and safety of the pack were the top priorities as the women handpicked the materials.

Although they had no predetermined plan regarding the quantity of each item, they gathered materials from the storeroom and began preparing the nest. The room exuded a dim, cool ambiance, devoid of any overpowering odors, as their pheromones gradually filled the air, creating a soothing atmosphere for everyone. The color of the materials held no significance in this sanctuary, this nest, where the pack would embark on an unprecedented endeavor - nesting women.

Mariella pondered how this would transform the pack. Would Mimi become an integral part of the pack, or would this nesting experience remain unique? However, she chose not to dwell on the future. At that moment, Mariella and the wolves were fully focused on arranging the nest.

They had a duty to aid the male members of the pack in their recovery, and this nurturing environment would also assist them all. Perhaps it would provide the most solace to Mimi and Damon, as their loss was the initial catalyst for this endeavor, although the entire pack shared in their grief.

As the hours passed, Mariella entered the room to inform me that the nest was gradually taking shape. I guided her in the correct purr to keep Damon sound asleep. We both climbed into bed cautiously, careful not to disturb him. Despite Mariella's presence, Damon grew restless and furrowed his brows when I moved. It seemed that even her proximity couldn't calm him. However, once Mariella mastered the purring technique, it didn't take long for Damon to drift off again.

Curious, I inspected the nest and infused it with my calming pheromones. The room, as pointed out by Mimosa, had a pleasing coolness to it. Stepping inside, a meticulously constructed nest greeted me, eagerly awaiting the arrival of our pack. I realized this was not a matter of negotiation; I was meant to take charge and nurture the pack. It was my duty as the alpha female. Together, we would face whatever challenges lay ahead.

Our pack had always broken boundaries, and it is a normal pack per se, and our nesting, well it just showed my power, my abilities, and my responsibilities as an alpha female. I did not think about what I might have to do after this. If Damon saw me as too strong and wanted to take away my powers, or would they go on holiday, to clear their minds? It was irrelevant as nesting and healing were now paramount, not the future, not challenges we might face.

The room housed a spacious water gel bed, adorned with materials that were predominantly silk and cotton, complemented by hints of satin. The men would slumber side by side, while the women moved about, gently lulling our young ones to sleep with our soothing purrs. There were tanks filled with bump and liquid food, ensuring that we could nourish our mats as needed. Pheromones and medication, along with dental substances, were also at hand to keep them calm and drowsy, nestled safely in their beds.

I began with number one once I had approved the nest's readiness. I gave a certain set of pheromones in the air, making the nest ready, and it was then all set.

Returning to the room where Damon and Mariella were, I instructed her, "Go and retrieve number two, and Mimosa will handle number five. Shadow will bring number seven. We'll bring them to the nest and put them to sleep. Once they're settled, we'll tend to the others." Mariella nodded in understanding.

Gently touching Damon, I teleported us to the nest, enfolding him in my arms. I positioned him perfectly and let the soothing purr and my pheromones fill the air. The atmosphere within the nest exuded tranquility. Deep down, I knew that this act of caring for my pack would also aid in my own healing. No longer weak or burdensome, I found strength in helping others. I could now help my pack, myself, and be part of the pack, not alone.

The door swung open, and Mariella guided the disoriented number two into the room. Mariella carefully placed our husband on the bed, and I assisted him into a comfortable position. My nesting pheromones were something they would seek, and it would be perfectly normal for them. As he nuzzled my neck, I purred softly, allowing him to indulge in the soothing sounds.

Without a command, Mariella departed to fetch more males for our nest. With each passing moment, her nesting instinct heightened, and it was remarkable because nesting was traditionally a male activity. However, as a member of our chaos pack and the most powerful creature in the universe, I reveled in breaking boundaries. Mimosa and Shadow entered, bringing more men into the room. They, too, inhaled my alluring pheromones, quickly succumbing to a state of dazed relaxation.

The men lay down, their eyes closed, drifting into a deep slumber. The number of men in the bed grew, already reaching eight. Mariella stayed in the nest, her purrs lulling the four of them into a peaceful sleep. This pattern continued as the next group of four arrived, with Mimosa remaining to help, and Shadow bringing the final two, Adam and Charles. Once the door was closed, Shadow joined us in bed, purring softly.

Each of us took care of three to four men, our purring serving as a gentle claim. Some of us wrapped ourselves around our chosen partners, allowing them to bask in our pheromones and the melodic hum of our purrs. Occasionally, we would shift and crawl around the bed, adjusting the nest as needed, ensuring it remained clean and providing the perfect nesting materials.

The dimly lit room was saturated with our soothing pheromones, the sound of our purrs, and the sensation of our males finding solace and rejuvenation. Even tragedy had struck us and showed us we weren't as perfect as we thought. We weren't safe. That we could lose our precious cubs. Our pack was healing, and I curled up with number four, sensing number two behind me, catching the scent of Charles and Lepard nearby. As I drifted off to sleep, it was finally time for me to rest as well.
