We all stood there, trying to figure out who would be the lucky one to call our parents. Each of us said, /"Not it,/" leaving, you guess it, Nik the odd man out.

/"Damn it. Every freaking time,/" Nik sighed.

Nik walked over and dialed the phone in the office, then someone answered.

Hello?

/"It’s Nik,/" Nik answered.

How’s the dance?

/"Funny story,/" Nik mentioned.

Uh oh, what happened?

/"Well, all I can tell you is Gage and Melvin started it. We finished it,/" Nik reasoned.

I see. Where are Gage and Melvin now?

/"They’re on their way to the hospital. Trust me; they were looking for trouble. All we were doing was having a wonderful time,/" Nik explained.

/"We need you to come to get us. The principal won’t let us leave until a parent comes to pick us up,/" Nik told the person.
