I woke to the sun shining through the window. Ryan was snoring next to me. Christmas break is the best. I lifted my left hand, noticing how the sun glistened off my engagement ring. It still didn’t seem real. Every day, I looked at it to see whether it was real or not.
I remembered that night about how I would walk away from him and everything. It was my anxiety, making me create all these terrible scenarios in my mind. They’re ten times worse than what they are. It was something I had to work on myself. Thank God for Ryan. I don’t know what I would do without him in my life. As I was his world, he was mine. I couldn’t imagine being with anyone but him.
