The entire ceremony happened without any issue or mistake. Not even Fitz made his usual remarks at the wrong time, and Mikki could say that the wedding was everything she ever dreamed of.

But when she thought that the ceremony was finally coming to an end, when she could almost feel Max’s teeth brushing the skin of her neck to bite her, when she could feel his warm breath against her cold skin, he vanished from her sight.
