Next Morning, Danzo POV

As I was in deep sleep, I suddenly woke up after sensing a ninja outside of my window. I opened my eyes and asked, "What is it?"

The man quickly answered, "Lord Third has summoned you."

The man quickly disappeared after saying those words. I quickly got up and put on my clothes, alongside a seal for my right arm that was given by Orochimaru.

Though I don't know what Hiruzen wants, I'm guessing that he will be asking questions, as Donji killed three ninjas last night. Thinking about different scenarios, I finally arrived at the Hokage building without me noticing. I simply sighed and walked right in.

Upon walking into Hiruzen's office, I was met with three figures: Hiruzen, Minato, and Fugaku. Minato greeted me, while the other two just stared at me with suspicion. Without wasting more time, I quickly asked Hiruzen, "What is it, Hiruzen?"

Hiruzen huffed out a puff of smoke and said, "Where were you last night?"

I stiffened a bit, which was noticed by the three, and said, "I was with Orochimaru last night."

Hiruzen looked confused and asked, "Why were you with Orochimaru?"

I snorted and answered, "What's the problem? Did something happen last night? As for why I was with Orochimaru, it was because I needed a new arm. With the rising tensions between the great villages, we need more people like me." As I answered Hiruzen, I showed him my new arm, which was covered with a large golden metal.

Hiruzen huffed out another smoke and said, "A new arm, you say? Why is there a seal on it?"

I faked a sigh, frowned with disappointment, and said, "Orochimaru isn't Tsunade. The arm isn't perfect. It isn't fully healed yet. It will take years for it to heal. Anyway, what has happened for you to ask me these questions?"

Hiruzen sighed and Fugaku answered for him with a stern face, "Three ninjas under the police force were killed last night. It was done in the outskirts of the village, and… using wood style, just like the First Hokage."

I showed a shocked face and continued with a frown, "What?! Why wasn't I informed of this?!"

"We held a meeting when the bodies were discovered by Minato. We could not find you, so we started the meeting without you," answered Hiruzen.

I complained to Hiruzen about how we should have started today, not last night, as it was a very important topic. However, Hiruzen just sighed like it was a daily occurrence. As I talked and talked about wood style, Minato and Fugaku ended up leaving.

I watched the two leave, then spoke to Hiruzen, still looking at the two as the door closed, "Hiruzen, the wood style… it was created by your student, Orochimaru."

Thud

As I heard something falling, I turned around and saw Hiruzen looking at me with wide eyes, his pipe now on the floor.

"W-What?"

I sighed and said, "I acted that way earlier so that you and I are the only ones that know of this. Last night, I truly was with Orochimaru because we made a deal that he would make me a new arm."

Hiruzen's face was now pale, and his hands were on his forehead, "Thank you, for not telling them."

"Hmph. You are too soft, Hiruzen. You knew that he was up to something, but you never did anything. You didn't even investigate."

"I... I have a soft spot for that child… He was the brightest out of the three students I taught. I knew he was acting strange, and the missing people were all leading to him, but I turned a blind eye… because I was telling myself that he might change."

Hiruzen finally stopped rubbing his forehead and asked me in an anxious tone, "Tell me, was he experimenting with… children?"

"He was."

Hiruzen's face turned so pale, it looked like he was already dead. He leaned back in his chair, thinking about something.

"He was. But I have already asked him to stop. I threatened him to stop the experimentation, and he is only allowed to experiment on ninjas outside of the village and adults who have committed crimes."

Hiruzen frowned and said, "You didn't tell him to stop?"

I stood up and walked towards the door while saying, "You know better than I do, that we need his research. Just like how we needed Sensei's research. I will monitor him so that he won't go out of line, so don't worry too much."

Hiruzen stopped me by saying, "Fine, but the three elders, Minato, and Kushina already know about the incident. They will probably be investigating the incident. What will you do about that?"

"Don't worry too much… I will create a… 'distraction.'"

Huff Huff

In a colorful realm, a kid wearing the standard Uchiha clothing was drenched in sweat while sitting down. The kid was Obito, and he had been training his ninjutsu since the beginning of his training. Because to Obito, cool ninjutsu equals Rin's recognition and it's strong.

It had been a week since Obito entered this place, meaning that he has been training for seven years. He has already learned five ninjutsu that Danzo had given him, while he has slacked off on taijutsu and other fundamentals. The only thing that has improved, other than his ninjutsu, was his chakra control.

As Obito sat on the floor huffing, he suddenly sensed someone appear behind him. Looking back, he saw an older man, Danzo. Obito quickly got up and greeted Danzo, to which Danzo asked, "Have you been training?"

Obito, with stars in his eyes, said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah! I've learned three new fire style and two lightning style jutsus. I also improved on my chakra control, and…"

Danzo looked confused and said, "And what?"

Obito closed his eyes with still the same smile. However, when he opened his eyes, Danzo was met with red eyes and two tomoe.

'He has awakened!'
