The Meeting

James and Kinla the village head soon got very close and they trained more and James was soon learning how to fight without being controlled by anger after he had been beaten a lot of times while fighting against skilled fighters with emotion.

One evening, James was outside with Cletus while Dorcas and Joy were just discussing inside.

"James I have a suggestion." Cletus said

" What is that?"

" I think we should move on and continue with our journey. We need to get to fadian. This place is not safe for us because this village might be attacked by the Snake army who are taking over virtually almost everything." Cletus suggested.

" I don't know about that but maybe we should talk to the village head before we move."

" I also think the villagers should follow us too."

" Okay but I have noticed that you and that Ashra have been together. Is there anything you are not telling me?" James asked with a smirk on his face.

" Well she is a very nice and easy going girl and we seem compatible so I guess we could get somewhere. What about you and Joy? I haven't seen you two in a while."

" I have been busy."

" I think you should speak to her today though. She might be angry at you for ignoring her all these time."

"Alright I will speak to her."

As soon as he said this, he left for Joy and Dorcas's room

Joy and Dorcas were still discussing when James knocked on the door and they permitted him. He then asked Dorcas to excuse them for some time and immediately she left the room.

"I am sorry my love, I have been very busy these days." James said in a low voice.

"Don't lie to me!" Joy said with pain.

"But I am sincere."

"So you couldn't just come to spend time with me since you recovered."

"I have been training with Kinla."

"So that is your excuse. You know I love you but the only thing you think about is violence and not me."

"It is nothing like that. I love you and I am sorry." James said softly as he held her waist and pulled her towards him.

"I'm not falling for all that." She said as she gave him a fake frown and immediately, he put his lips on her and they kissed passionately and they were about to go naked when they heard a knock on the door.

"Open up. The village head is summoning us." They heard Cletus say and they arranged themselves and got out of the room holding hands.
