The day of the Summer Fever tournament's first game dawned bright and early. Jamar woke up with a mixture of excitement and nerves. Today, they were facing Northview High, a formidable team with a reputation for being one of the best.

The ball arced through the air, seemingly in slow motion. It hit the backboard, bounced once on the rim, and then dropped through the net. The crowd exploded in cheers as Jamar's teammates swarmed him, celebrating the crucial basket.

With only seconds left on the clock, Northview had one last chance to tie or win the game. Marcus Thompson dribbled up the court, looking for an opening. He passed to Derek Johnson, who launched a three-pointer. The ball flew towards the basket, but Tony Gelo was there, leaping up and swatting it away.
