“No True Hero”
The world is cold, my body frost bitten, I'm cold.. I can't feel anything, nor can I breathe, but I've lost the need to…
Nico stood, slowly taking step by step in the harshness of the land, his body painted in blood as shards of glass fly by, cutting him as they go.
It's been 10 minutes, though it felt like an eternity, no end to the pain. Regardless, Nico had to keep going, he couldn't end now, counting each step he took within a weak voice.
"Oh my.. I really didn't expect you to last this long, very impressive..!"
The echo of Morell's voice could be heard again, followed by a giggle as Nico looked up, staring to where her voice could be heard from.
"You said 1000 steps, correct..? Easy.."
Morell suddenly appeared in front of Nico, continuing to giggle as any glass or wind going towards her redirected away.
"Oh, you seem to misunderstand..! It's not that you'll be freed at 1000 steps, quite the opposite. At your 1000th step you'd drop dead."
Nico gained a slight smirk as he managed to get Morell to show herself. Using all his built up pain, his ring of pain glowed a visciously powerful red.
"Oh..?"
Nico shot out a giant beam of red forth from his hand towards Morell, before swinging it down, causing the whole planet and realm to be split in half.
The planet began exploding as Nico quickly swung his sword below himself, forming a portal to bring himself out of the realm.
He came out in front of the black temple, Bennett surprised by his sudden reappearance. Nico began brushing the glass shards off of himself.
"I'm back.. ouch…"
Nico breathed heavily, wiping the blood off his face before looking back to Bennett. Suddenly, Bennett faded into a black smoke, Morell stepping out of that smoke as she smiled at Nico.
"You thought I'd let you escape so simply..? Don't you get it, you're in MY domain."
Nico regained his fear, stumbling and tripping back away drom Morell, who's glare intensified.
"The world never needed you, Ryoto. You claim to be the hero, but you've actually done worse then I have."
She raised her other hand, twirling 4 coins around her fingers, carrying the faces of Reece, Evan, Kafka, and Kiara.
"Yes, I've killed a few, but they were evil. I kidnapped these 4, but only to save them."
She stopped twirling the coins, tossing 3 in the air as they all perfectly landed on top of one another, Nico flinching from hee sudden movements.
"Andwhat has Mr Ryoto done..? You've causes mass destruction to your city, destroyed the world of another.. You've hurt your friends, one you've even killed out of mere rage.. Tell me, who's the bad guy here."
She began spinning the stacked on her fingernail, Nico left for words as he just looked down, gritting his teeth. Morell let go of his arm, the couns disappearing as she took a few steps back.
"The truth is, Nico. You can't ever do a good deed..! Some say to save millions you must sacrifice a dozen.. You kill miany to save a handful."
Nico started getting quite upset, his hand twitching towards his sheath, Morell's smile growinf as she held her hands out to the side.
"I wonder; what happened to your mother..?"
Nico unsheathed his sword and quickly dashed into Morell, throwing a powerful swing. She pulled out a mere knife, clashing with him like it's nothing.
"Yes.. Release that rage."
Morell began to laugh as the two clashed attacks, the sounds of metal clanging heard as sparks flew through the air. Nico's attacks of agression were stopped by the smallest movements from Morell.
"You can do better then that.. C'mon, give me your all..!"
Nico's anger only increased, his ring of sound glowing a bright yellow, as he began vibrating his body, using the vibrations to move faster, to hit harder. His attacks started to sound like bullets firing as he moved faster then the human eye.
"Just a little more.."
Morell whispered, covering her eyes just to taunt Nico, her arm incasing in a dark purple aura as she stood completely still, redirecting every one of Nico's attacks with just the movement of her arm.
"You're a poor ring user, I must say…"
She eventually caused Nico's sword to fing right out of his hand, before grabbing him by his shirt, pulling him closer to glare at him with her wide smile.
"What do you know about me..!?"
Nico yelled, his ring releasing a blinding yellow light from his ring, before a vibration shot through the entire temple, crumbling it into a billion pieces.
A strong guat of wind was sent back, Morell not even flinching, though her hair became undone, blowing back through the wind as she laughed.
"Very good…"
She held Nico's fist, surpressing his ring and patting him on the head. Bennett suddenly running up to the two, as he'd waited outaide the entire time.
"You see, Nico.. I do nice things..! I helped you use your ring properly."
She shoved him back, Bennett catching him as Morell began waving goodbye, walking off. Nico tried to rush at her again, but Bennett kept him in place.
"Nico, you obviously can't beat here..! We need others for this.."
Bennett continued restraining Nico, a fog forming through the air, which Morell disappeared into. Bennett finally let Nico go as he instantly went running for Morell.
"Get back here, damn it..! Where are the others..!?"
He shouted at the top of his lungs, grabbing his sword that'd been on the floor on his way, Bennett not bothering to chase after him.
"We're not done here..!!!"
Nico continued running, unable to see through the fog, as suddenly the ground beneath him left him, the smoke clearing as he'd fallen off a cliff.
"Shit..!!!"
Before Nixo began plummeting, Morell quickly reappeared, catching him by his collar, a sigh leaving her mouth.
"Ugh.. If you're so desperate I'll just bring you to the next location."
Morell tossed Nico off the cliff once more, a portal forming under him which he'd fall into. The portal lead to a giant castle, the gate opening by itself upon his arrival.
"What.."
He slowly got up, looking up to the castle as he sheathed his sword, taking a step forth, before quickly stopping to a sudden surprise, a giant eye forming out the shadows within the castle's entrance.
