The Resilient Clarke

"When someone seems too good to be true they usually are" I bet you this Is the most interesting and the sweetest autobiography you've ever seen or heard, it's totally not a sob story but a motivation,i wasn't born with silver spoon but I will never stop chasing until I get the silver spoon, it is good I wasn't born with it so that I can get it myself, I was born the only male child of my parents with three kid sisters and one elder sister who is too churchy. I was born in a poor home but my parents did their best to give me all the good training every good parent should give their children for example going to church one of the most sacred rules in my house, going to any kind of work as long as it will pay money was part of the house itself for everyone in the house, my father was a security man and a subsistent farmer while my mother was Jack of all trades, there was no kind of work she does not do, I never had any pleasant experience with my parents or my family in quote, we were always at war, always disagreeing to agree, my father was very far from me so I grew up with my mother and it was indeed a terrible experience, cat and rat, every day fight and unending quarrell

Chapter 3 : THE STORY CONTINUES..

... repeating same meal and the malnutrition was already affecting my sight in the afternoon, due to excess carbohydrates and I was already shrinking, it was a terrible moment of regrets, all I was just saying in my minds was I have made the worst mistakes of my life, I was making a lot of money in the village even though it's a hard work but as long as money was coming out I don't care since I'm not begging or stealing it from anyone or any where I just have to work and get paid, I was doing it with joy and gladness.

I had stayed for three weeks in my uncle's place doing nothing, not even feeding fine talkmore of enjoying the holiday, the worst part of it was I couldn't talk about it to anyone, I couldn't tell anyone that I want to return home before the scheduled date, I just kept quiet and was thinking about my life.

For three weeks I've been indoor after we had returned from the deeper life church camp meeting, all my plans was how I would manage to go back home looking worse than I was looking when I left home

One cool evening I decided to stroll around the areas in the village where my uncle lives in, I didn't walk that far and I saw someone that looked like one of my classmate in the village I came from

It was as if I had seen a ghost because I never speculated seeing anyone I know in that village, I got moved closer and I called his name "ugwunna" immediately he turned and he shouted with a very loud voice and called me wisdom, "Chief Agric" that was my portfolio in secondary school.

He rushed and hugged me because we were quite close in school then, the both of us were so astonished, short of words and at the same time so excited for seeing each other in the city.

We played for few minutes standing and talking and laughing out so loud that people around was attracted to our conversations, little did I know that one other fair guy that I used to see anytime I'm crossing that street is even from the same village with me, from there he introduced me to the fair guy I was already relieved for seeing someone I know that knows me from home.

He began telling about his journey and affairs in the city, he was working for one man in a poultry farm,he asked me what I was doing in the city and I told him how my journey was a big disappointment to me, he asked me if I was willing to work and get paid??

I didn't allow him to finish the question I already said yes, he agreed to take me to another of our village man who helped me to get the work he was doing at that moment, we agreed to go that same evening but that I was after I took him to go and see where I was staying in My uncle's and to see my uncle and his wife.

We returned home to meet my uncle, I told my my uncle I have seen my classmate from the village and that he has agreed to help me get a job I can be doing and get paid at the end of the month instead of staying idle all the time.

Me speaking to my uncle was just to give him the formal respect, I had made up my mind to go extra miles if he says otherwise after all that has been my specialty doing whatever I choose to.

Happily he said okay, he said that's okay if I can do the job fine without causing any problems there, I promised him that I wouldn't cause any problems for him, he agreed, immediately i left with my classmate "ugwunna" to go and meet the man that will help me get a job in the city.

We left that evening to his place and we met him in his poultry farm, we helped him to feed his birds and after everything we moved into the agenda of the visit which was getting me a job in the city that I had never planned on working in but things changes every day so we keep adapting to the positive ones we can adapt to.

Since I needed to reregister my exams so I also needed money to do it because it seems that my angel was quite having personal challenges too so my angel was kind of busy so I was totally alone in the journey of proceeding my academics.

I had no other option than to accept to work in any place as long as they will pay me, moreover I've done More worse odd jobs in the village so I was never afraid of if I could be able to the job or not, I had over confidence that I have done worse

After discussing with the man, he agreed to take me to someone who is finally going to refer me to the employer directly, he told us to return back to his house the next day so that we will go together to the final referrer.

We agreed and returned home, while we were on the way going home,we got to a junction were we will both part ways to our different places he gave me 200 naira for small pocket money, it was totally not a small money to me then it was a big money because I have not had it for over three weeks now.

I was so grateful to God for bringing a helper to come my way when I needed it most, I was short of words to tell him I only said thank you to him and I asked God to reward him aboundantly at the very point where he needs it most and since then I have been praying to God to bless me so that I can return that favor in another dimension.

The next day he arrived my house in the morning with his ladies bike that he uses to carry his bags of feeds for the birds that he is taking care of, I joined him on the bike and we set to go to see the final referrer for the job, before we could get there the other man was already there buying his own feed, when we arrived we stood outside the office waiting for them to come and see me, we waited for about 30 minutes and more..
