Both couldn't explain how the whole thing had happened but it was nothing other than a miracle how they had managed to dodge the several arrows which the assassins had shot at them.
It was Riley who was shot at first, then Lena. Sadly at first, there was nothing they could do about fighting them off.
They were forced to dodge the arrows from that spot because if they lived an inch farther, they would be shot down and dealt with mercilessly.
And to avert any problems that might come with being shot down, they both stood there, swiftly shifting to the side before the arrows found them.
Luckily for Riley as well, she was very much skilled with the sword so that she managed to strike away half of the arrows shot at her. As for Lena, her own case was different.
She saw them coming beforehand and reacted accordingly. But there were instances when it was so close that she thought, within that bit of a second, that it was useless dodging the arrows.
