Chapter 2: The Beginning

Kenji as a Thief class is considered one of the lowest with only the skill to hide and just a little speed buff.

As Kenji and his team approached the dark forest they first talked about their strategy.

"We should let Kenji go in and use him as bait"

"Yes, we should let him do it since he's a waste"

Kenji not knowing their plan just followed what his team has ordered him

As they go deeper into the forest, they encountered a lot of goblins and other monsters

Exhausted from the battle the team has prepared to set a camp since its already night

Kenji being an outsider in the eyes of his teammates distanced himself from them during the night

And decided to sleep up the tree while looking at his teammates partying and celebrating just because they killed low-tier monsters.

Kenji is envious of them staring and reflecting on why is he alone

"Am I different, I'm still a human like them, I have feelings and emotions"

"Why am I alone"

Kenji begins to revolt and is so envious of others

As the night progressed and one by one everyone falls asleep

A gust of wind touched the camp which awoken Kenji from his sleep

As Kenji slowly opens his eyes he begins to see monsters killing everyone and destroying their camp

One by one his teammates died and he began to feel afraid but also satisfied

Because of the death of the ones who mocked him

"Why do I feel so afraid yet I'm enjoying it watching these people die makes me happy"

"I feel like I'm about to laugh and enjoy these people dying in front of me"

Kenji did not move and stood still while laughing at the people

And one of his teammates in the urge of dying begs Kenji to help him

"Kenji help please I'm begging you aren't we friends? Please"

"I promise when you help me we will be friends. Forever"

Kenji didn't feel any sympathy instead he stared at him and started to laugh at him

"Why should I? back then you didn't even want me all of you didn't help me instead you all despised me for what I have"

*Laughs

And as he sees everyone dies monsters begin to attack him

Kenji didn't fight back as he stand still and accepted his faith

And just laughs while being attacked as he is satisfied with what happened to the people who treated him like a trash

On the brink of his death, he still laughs as he remembers all the things that have happened to him

"I hate this world, everything in this world is pure evil"

"No one in this world cares about others they only care about themselves"

Which he repeated to say that he hates this world

"If only I can go back and destroy humanity and every evil in this world"

"Even if I become the devil I will accept it just to seek vengeance and destroy humanity"

As Kenji started to lose consciousness on the brink of his death

"You will start your life anew with a curse on being a devil"

"Make me proud and accept this as a gift because you have chosen it"

"Till then we will meet at the end of all"

*Laughs
