The Rebirth Of A Vengeful Heiress

Blurb: “Your Alpha thinks a wolfless girl can’t be the Luna.” Rachael replied. “My Alpha had suggested more suitable options should stay around Alpha Sebastian till he makes a decision.” My heartbeat quickened as anger rose from my stomach at being called a wolfless girl again. Can’t be a Luna? I snapped my head to Alpha Sebastian and he didn’t even look at me. Suitable options? Decision? My fists clenched. “What decision—” Alpha Sebastian left his seat suddenly and I stepped back on impulse. His gaze finally landed on me and a suppressed whimper left me. His blue eyes slowly darkened to red. “Seraphina Renaud. I, Sebastian Theroes, hereby break the betrothal engagement I made with you on 27th of December, 2021.” Alpha Sebastian said flatly, not even bothering to spare me a glance. ~~~ Everything changed after her parents died. Seraphina Jones once lived in peace within her pack as the daughter of a multi-millionaire despite being a wolfless girl, but when she had nothing else to offer, she became the general object of ridicule. Yet one fateful day, her fragile heart was cruelly broken by the man who was to protect her and she’s ridiculed by her pack once again. Trying to escape their scorned looks, she got into an accident that ended her life. In a fortunate string of event, Seraphina Jones got reborn to three years before her rejection and demise. Chapter Fourteen

Sebastian's POV

Pack deaths happened all the time. I didn't like it. Even my father, the Alpha had died. But recently, in this younger generation, they sort of made it the next Alpha's fault when that happened.

It was my mother's suggestion that Theroes should go into war with a smaller pack and while we won, we lost most warriors, including our Lead Warrior.

Did this sort of things happen? Yes. Did I like it? No. But most of them couldn't be avoided and every warrior knew that. I only wished their children did as well.

Seraphina Jones. I've always heard she was spoilt by my mother, she obviously didn't like her but she put her with her because of her mother and father.

It was okay for the girl to have run off when she heard her father died, and since the other warriors were too demoralised by the news to go after her, I offered to do it and give my condolences.

When I met her, she didn't look like she was mourning and even had an attitude. Perhaps my mother was right.

Now, I was being told again that she banned anyone from entering the Lead Warriors house and wanted to run away with his properties.

Ideally speaking, it shouldn't be any one's business but she added a curse linked to the Moon Goddess? I stared at her now and she wasn't speaking, only looking down.

Was this all done because she was mad at the pack for her father dying? I exhaled. "Take back what you said, right now." I didn't raise my voice since she was just a child, though I didn't know how young. She recently became an orphan so most of her actions could be forgiven.

Her fists clenched and she met my gaze. "Why? I meant it. Did you think I'd let your people keep stealing from me?"

So there was a theft accusation involved? "What was stolen?" Her expression loosened so I repeated myself in case she didn't heat me. "What did they steal?"

The fact she used 'your people' might mean she already alienated herself from the pack. Did she know that her deployment to another pack had to be approved by her Alpha or she planned to be an official rogue?

"Why do you care? It's not like you'd do anything about it!" she raised her voice now.

I didn't have time for this and I could tell she brought some wolves to support these actions, but no one would save her from me if her attitude gets worse.

"Let's be clear about something. I have no reason why you're doing all these and unless you state it clearly, you'd have to take back what you said or get beaten up."

She stepped back. When one of the man wanted to get closer, she signalled for them to stay back. Better for the young man, because I wouldn't hesitate.

She folded her arms. "The Beta's younger brother had the keys to my mother's room. In my mother's room were important documents belonging to my company. He insists that my father gave him the key but that's not true. The key has been lost for a long time."

I sensed a lie one what she said but I couldn't point out which one. I mind linked James, the Beta's younger and asked if he had a key with him.

"Alpha, it belongs to me. I mean, yes, the Lead Warrior gave it to me." His reply was a blatant lie and the inconsistencies were proof. Did he think he could lie to an Alpha that erroneously?

Now, the both of them lied with James' lie more profound than hers. I could gather that the key wasn't supposed to be with James so she was right there. "Documents of your company was in the room? When did the key get missing?"

She hesitated and exhaled. "I don't know. My father had been in charge of the room all the while."

That was the truth which meant when she said the key had lost for a while was her lie. She probably didn't even know about the key but knew James shouldn't be with it since it protected her company's documents.

This sounded like her family's problem and I didn't understand why James had to have anything to do with it. I asked him again. "Why did the Lead Warrior give you the key?"

"As the caretaker of his house."

"But his daughter still lives there so why didn't she know about this?"

"She...She is just lying about everything, Alpha. The key should be given to me when she's done with whatever—" I cut the connection before he finished.

He was just spewing lies back and forth. How dare he? I've already determined what was a lie in her words and what wasn't so he shouldn't try. "You're right. So what do you want to do now? Are you leaving the pack because someone stole your key?"

I didn't know why she kept looking at me like I was doing something unbelievable. "The key is the only issues, right?" I raised my voice and she snapped from her stare.

"Yes... I mean no, a lot more but, I wouldn't want anyone entering the house till I've taken out all the important documents inside. He didn't understand that so I placed the curse." She looked inside the room. "My mother usually locked that key in a safe so it was very suspicious that he had it."

That sounded serious. I closed my eyes and exhaled. My mother should've known all these so why did she let it get this bad? And the beta didn't know his younger brother was a little lying thief? "So you are leaving the pack?"

Her folded arms released. "Yes. I want to move in with my mother's family and inherit my company. Nothing is left here for me."

She wasn't wrong, and I didn't know why that saddened me. Perhaps because a pack member leaving the pack wasn't good news to any Alpha. "I'd approve your deployment then."

"It isn't a deployment. I'm being an official rogue." She said that with so much pride.

I nodded. "Let him take the stamped approval." I referred to her supposed knight. "No one will step in here again so release that curse, just in case a kid strays in. Take your father's benefits before you leave too."

I left the place and stood outside for a while.

I barely knew the Lead Warrior. I only met his mate once and my opinion of her was she easily laughed at my mother's unfunny jokes.

Their daughter, I only knew she existed. Yet now, for some reasons, I really want to know what goes in in her life.
