The Reality of this Realm

The world is cruel and dangerous. Orcs, dragons, goblins, what do all of these have in common? We all classify them as monsters. But that is wrong because the reality is that humans are the real monsters.

Heleh's thoughts

"Our what?!" Kamesh asked, "You heard me, we will kill them with zest!" Heleh replied. "But why would you say something that weird, like you were some beauty king or something?!" Kamesh asked, "It sounded cool ok!" Heleh said.

"Umm, hello?" The stage man said, "Oh right, prepare to die." Heleh's voice suddenly became monotone and deep. A black void then formed behind Heleh and engulfed them all. Heleh had sucked them into the Realm of Nothingness.

"Hey demon, come here." Heleh said, The demon then walked up to him and placed his hand on his shoulder, "Only half, ok?" the demon said. "Yeah, only half.", "Good...", The demon then transferred half of his power into Heleh, his eyes then turned into a gradient of red and purple. He then disappeared, "This is unfair as hell!" the girl yelled.

Then, reality cracked like a shard of glass. Memories filled the minds of the 3, they started falling into a void. A void personifying their despair, some were deeper than others, but the girls void was the deepest. It seemed like she was in the most despair. Heleh felt sympathy towards her, but the games a game. Heleh then punches the girl through her abdomen. She then started rolling on what seemed to be nothing. She coughed up blood, blood, so much blood. Heleh looked down at his fist, even more blood. Why, why did he have to kill them, why couldn't they pick a better option than murder? Why?

Heleh then brought back reality because he was losing the demon's powers, but he could still go to the Realm of Nothingness, so he did that instead. He dropped to the ground, debating what he just did was evil or good.

"Kamesh, why?" Heleh asked, "I don't know why..." Kamesh said. Heleh then got up and released a deep sigh. "You took care of the others right?" Heleh asked Kamesh, "Yeah." Kamesh replies. "Ok, let's go."

They then clean up and just fly back home instead. Later, Heleh is taking a bath in the bath house. He stared at his hands, repeating "Why?" inside his head. That word resonated through his body, soul, and mind. Why, why the violence? Why, why didn't they choose a less violent option. Violence, people who are violent have violent tendencies. Violence is subjective, some are unfazed by violence, but to some, even seeing a drop of blood can make them shake. Why? Why was he thinking about these things? Why was it him?

Heleh lay down on the couch in Suzuni's house, those questions still went through his head. It was dark out now, so he decided to go out for a walk. He walked through the forest, seeing how the moon light glistens off of water droplets. Admiring how beautiful nature could really be. He then looked up at the stars, there were billions upon billions of stars. How could they be the only ones? But Heleh knew that they weren't alone, there were gods. Gods that have descended in dimensions just for us to comprehend their existence. Cerulean, she was on a 4D and 3D plane when Heleh fought her. She could've destroyed an entire country. The highest level of gods were 13th Dimensional beings who were perceived as beings that created the universe. "Maybe they know about me" Heleh thought, he then went back to Suzuni's house. He went into her room, he lay in her bed, and slept.

He then woke up to Suzuni who was holding him, literally. "She must've shrunk me down." Heleh said, he then punched her in the cheek. "Ow! What was that for?!" she asked, "Make me bigger." Heleh said in a low, deep voice. Heleh grows to his original size and puts on his clothes. He then ties his hair back and goes outside.

As he walks through the capital, he sees someone take an old woman's purse. "Someone help!" The woman yelled, Heleh tracked the mana of the thief and followed it to an alley way. The man rummages through the purse, Heleh then appears in front of him. "Old geezers shouldn't have to go through things like that. What if her identification was in there, all of her money, or even her past guild cards. That would ruin anyone's lives." Heleh said, the man said nothing, "If you're not going to talk, then give the purse back." The man hands the purse to Heleh, he then tries running away. But Heleh knocked him out before he could take a step.

Heleh returns the purse and starts heading for the Feline Lands. He was going to meet with Fermine, there was also a rare plant he wanted to see. As Heleh walked through the Demi-human country, he saw all the happy families they had. Demi-human or not, we're all people. People discriminate just because they don't like someone's skin color or race. Heleh was disgusted by this, even as a kid, when he learned that people mistreated others just because of their race or background. He swore to never be like them, and stop discrimination.

As Heleh walked through a town in the Feline Lands, he kept getting weird stares. A man then appears in front of him. Heleh looked up and saw that the person was part tiger. "A tiger one huh? I've never seen one, guess they're pretty rare." Heleh tries walking around him, but the man punches him in the face. Heleh slides back while looking upwards, he uses his right foot to catch himself and looks back at the man. The man is now charging towards him, Heleh easily dodges every attack. "Stop it, I didn't come here for trouble." Heleh says, "Shut up! What makes you different from the rest?!" the man asks. "Difference? Aren't we all part human? Even if there are people who are only part human, they are still human. There is no difference, we are all the same. But there is one difference." Heleh says, "And what would that be?" the man asks. "It's the fact I could control this entire country, yet I'm letting all of you live. If I really did hate all of you, this kingdom wouldn't be standing right now." Heleh says, "Hah! You're just bluffing!" the man yells.

"Look into my eyes..." Heleh says, the man looks into Heleh's eyes. The void inside Heleh was endless, a pit of terror, guilt, and despair. Horrors no one of the current generation of Felines could understand. The man dropped to the ground, not fighting back, not protecting himself at all but only dodging. It all made sense, he was different. He realized that Heleh was someone who experienced things people of their kind could not imagine. "I'm sorry..." The man says in a low voice. "It's ok." Heleh says as he pays him on the shoulder and walks away.

Heleh makes it to a shack in the woods, he knocks and is immediately kicked in the face by Fermine. "Oh, it's just you." She says, "Yes, it's only me..." Heleh says as he removes he foot from his face. "What's wrong? You seem down, did Suzuni dump you?" She asked in a jokey and teasing tone. "No...I need something from you." He says, "Come in then." she says as she steps away from the door.

Heleh closes the door behind him and sees another cheetah. He closely resembled Fermine, "Are you Fermine's brother?" Heleh asks. "Yeah, older brother." He says, "Huh, never knew Fermine had siblings." he says as he walks to take a seat. He then gets stopped by Fermine's brother, "If you lay a finger on her, you'll pay." He says. Then "Oh please, that man could kill me a thousand times over if he wanted to. Don't try to pick a fight with him." Fermine says, her brother then drops his hand.

Heleh takes a seat, him and Fermine then talked about childhood stories for a few hours. "Ahahaha! That's funny, he really did that?!" Heleh asked, "Yeah! He really scratched the dude's eyes out!" Fermine replied. Heleh then stopped laughing, "Anyways. Can you show me where I can find the 'Guster Fungus'?" Heleh asks, Fermine then pulls out a knife and puts it to Heleh's throat. "What are you aiming for? That plant's poison can kill up to 20 lions with just a drop. So why do you need it?" She then draws blood from Heleh. "This is the first time you drew blood from me." Heleh said, "Shut up! Why do you want it?!" Fermine yelled.

"Long ago, the son of the sun god Gurdelm came down to Earth. He lived in a small town, but once the town folk heard that he was the son of a god, they hung him. The sun god saw this and was infuriated, he then sent the great dragon Guster to exterminate the humans. But the humans were too strong, Guster was killed and from his corpse grew fungi. Fungi that were extremely poisonous, this was the gods way of punishing us even after all of his efforts to stop us. Guster's body is the only place that can grow these fungi, and do you know where they are?" Heleh asked after retelling the myth of Gurdelm, "What are you on about?!" Fermine asked. "They're at the peak of a mountain north of this shack." Heleh said, Fermine then dug the knife deeper into his neck. "Are you going to go get it?" Fermine asked, "Why would I when I haven't got what I came here for." Heleh said. "What? I thought you wanted the Guster Fungus." Fermine said, "That's one thing, but I also need help." Heleh says.

"Help with what?" Fermine asked, "Umm..." Heleh said nothing, "C'mon, spit it out!" "We need subs for the Grand Magic School." Heleh said. "So? Why should I care?" Fermine asked, "Your specialty is poison and assassination right?" Heleh asks. "Yeah?" Fermine said, "Well, there is a tournament coming up that has students and teachers competing, including subs. So if you want, you can teach the kids at the school so they don't get their asses kicked." Heleh said.

"So you want me to sub in for someone?" Fermine asked while putting back the knife, "Yeah, me and Kamesh are also subbing." Heleh said. "Fine, but only if you tell me your intentions for wanting the fungus." Fermine said, "I need it for a potion, that's all I can say." Heleh said. "If that's all you can say, then a higher up must be behind this." Fermine said "Fine, I'll do it." "Great! I hope that you get through with everyone so we can fight again!" Heleh said as he got up and headed for the door.

Heleh then headed north to the said mountain. He climbed up the monstrosity of this so-called mountain, more like an entire country. When he reached the top, a group of people were huddled around it. It looked like they were looking at something. Heleh flew above and could see a baby dragon in the middle of the crowd. He flew down because it wasn't his problem, and proceeded to pick up the fungi which were flat and the edges pointed upwards. It also had red markings on it, someone then noticed him "Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" she asks him. "None of your business."

Heleh then tries to walk away but is pulled back by the woman, "Yes it is!" She says. Heleh slides across the ground, making the dirt under his feet pile up. "I urge you to stop." Heleh says, "For what? So you people can take more from us?!" Heleh then pulled out the fungus, the woman stepped back, they now have a crowd of people around them. "No way! How can you hold that?!" She yells, Heleh then squeezes the fungus and a bunch of poisonous juice pours out. Heleh then chugs all of it down like water.

"What! No way!" The woman yelled, everyone looked in amazement. "If my theory is correct, Gurdelm was the kind to reward the strong." Heleh said, then, a bright light came shining down on him. "Hmm, poison resistance? Holy shit! It's really high poison resistance too! Well, off I go!" Heleh then runs away from the crowd.

Back at Fermine's shack, she was getting ready to go to the capital. When she walked outside, she saw Heleh sitting next to the doorstep on the ground. His eyes looked like he was dead. "Heleh?" Fermine asked, "Huh, oh, c'mon let's go." Heleh then gets up and starts heading down the mountain. Fermine catches up to Heleh and looks at his face with concern, Heleh looks down at Fermine. "Pfft, 5'6 my ass." Heleh says in a joking tone, "Shut up! you think I haven't noticed you are trying to change subjects?!" She yells. "So you've noticed huh? Well, I'm sure you understand." Heleh says, "Understand what?" Fermine asks. "You'll see..."
