And so when Clay attacked, his reaction was too late. He was already struck by Clay and blown away. The only fortunate thing for him was that he was wearing protective artifacts. They were his life-saving means. Any great martial artists would possess one or two of such artifacts. The moment Clay's attack landed on him and was about to fatally wound him, the artifact he was wearing, a necklace, took the brunt of the attack and shattered directly. The damage was dispersed into the air and a huge sonic boom exploded in place of Su Qianhu.

Elder Jiang was unable to react to the attack only finding the time to react when the headmaster was blown away.
