today the two were going to go and find those who had set the fire, if they were still alive that is.
The swarms of nightmare creatures rushing toward the island made sunny shiver and he didnt want to think on it too long so instead he focused on how he should go about greeting them, should he walk into them on 'accident' of course it would never be an accident since sunny can scout ahead so he would know where they were.
dismissing these thoughts sunny began his way down the tall staue, almost slipping on the way. Once he got to the bottom he instantly began in the direction the fire came from, using his shadow to scout ahead.
soon sunnys shadow had found them, they were still quite a walk away so sunny pressed onwards towards them slicing down many foes on his way there. when he did come across the two he had realised it was nephis and cass which made it easier for sunny than he had thought, since they were his cohort he should have no issue with going up to them right?.
Sunny made his way to the two girls not even noticing the clothes they were wearing, but when he did it was too late. Cassie was wearing the gold robe she had recieved from nephis in the novel but nephis she, she was hardly wearing anything. Makeshift 'clothes' made out of clothes, actually clothes was a lie it was more like she was weaing a bikini the type sunny would see in webtoons when people were at the beach.
Nephis had noticed sunny walking toward them with a smile and seemed to have gotten the wrong idea, mistaking his friendly smile for one of malice she launched herself at him and pinned him to the ground with immense force.
"that definitly wont hurt later" Alan remarked a small grin on his 'face'
sunny ignored his snarky comment, it would seem sarcasm was alans best way of communicating and sunny didnt like it one bit.
"Oh sunny..... didnt think you..... would be a pervert" neph spoke with her inhuman like voice.
"im not!, youve got the wrong idea" sunny shouted with a pained expression, upon hearing this nephis loosened her grip on him slightly allowing him to relax a little while still being under her forcefull hold.
"Neph.. who is it" cassie spoke from in the distance a worried look on her face, nephis turned her head toward the girl before monotonously replying.
"Sunny"
"Sunny, is it really? come closer" cass spoke
"yes its me now can you get off me neph it still hurts!!" sunny added it wasnt neccessary but sunny didnt really want a half naked girl pinning him down, he was still a teenager after all!.
At this nephis slowly loosened her grip until sunny was free, standing up sunny dusted of his shroud and began to speak.
"Was it you two who lit that fire last night?"
nephis gave him what could only be described as a complicated look before replying.
"yes, a mistake on our part....monsters...came in swarms"
Sunny gave them a solemn look he knew the monsters came toward them but by the state he found them it was clear the two girls were the victors of the fight. he then replied to them talking about how he had seen the light and the swarn and decided to come and check to see if there was any survivors.
The trio eventually noticed that the sun was soom to set and had decided to head back toward where the two girls had set up camp, sunny was confused how the two were going to get up as cassie was blind one misstep and she would fall no?
when they did arrive sunny had his questions answered as cassie summoned a rope that shone with an immense golden glow and handed it to nephis who the tied two loops on each end.
Nephis then climbed the mountainous island and attached one end of the rope to a rock before tossing down the other end to cassie, which she put her foot in to be lifted up.
After the two had gone up it was sunnys turn to ascend the mountain, it was a struggle but when he had reached the top all he could do was stare in awe at the sight.
'what the' sunny thought to himself
it was a makeshift camp, and a well built one at that. Naturally he was envious of it but pushed such thoughts away before falling to the floor and sitting next to what could clearly be the remains of a fire.
