"What's the catch?" Spheris placed his utensils down and met Bellunder's gaze squarely.

"The catch?" Bellunder asked.

"What exactly does being a 'Royal Bearer' entail? Sounds very inexplicit."

Bellunder leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. "It's simple, Spheris. As my Royal Bearer, you would be bound exclusively to me and the First Wing. Your services, your loyalty, and your power will be dedicated solely to our cause. You cannot aid any other Wing or accept any offers from rival factions."
