THE PUREBLOOD'S MATE

Pureblood vampires can be said to be the first vampires to have royal blood running through their veins. They are the only vampires capable of ruling all supernatural creatures because they have unique abilities that no one has. That's because they are the first children of Alucard, the most powerful vampire who has chosen to sacrifice himself for his children and his beloved Lessana, the so-called white witch with a virtuous will and a unique power that extends beyond years only Alucard knew. They said that the last vampire with blue blood would fulfill the prophecy and receive Lessana's power, and that vampire was none other than Coreen Sevilla. Will Coreen be able to awaken her sleeping power if all memories of her past are erased?

EPISODE THREE: CATCHING UP WITH THE MILLENIALS (1)

After learning about Pixie's family, I followed her mother's suggestion. I will stay in their house until I recovered and my memories returned. I would need to make significant adjustments to the world I find myself in now.

"Hey." I turned towards the voice. It was Pixie, carrying clothes as she approached me. "You must wear these starting now, or people will laugh at you."

"People?" I asked with a furrowed brow. I didn't know that people like us could interact with ordinary folks. Based on my recollection, we were avoided by people, hunted, and killed.

She nodded. "Yes, in recent years, we've learned to interact with people, well, of course, without them knowing our existence. But there are people with pure hearts who can accept our identity."

I shrugged and looked at the clothes she brought. She laid them out on the bed, took a purple dress, and handed it to me. "Try this one, our body types aren't that different, so I know it'll fit you."

"Thank you," I said and was about to undress in front of her when she stopped me.

"W-What are you doing?" her eyes filled with questioning.

"Changing clothes?" I responded with a questioning tone.

"You can use the bathroom over there," she pointed to a closed door.

"Okay," I replied, a little embarrassed, and in an instant, I was in front of the door.

"Whoa! That was awesome!" she exclaimed in amazement.

"Is this the first time you've seen a vampire teleport?" I asked as I reached the front of the door.

"Uhm... Coreen? You need to open the door and go inside the bathroom; that's how you change your clothes," she calmly explained.

I laughed. "What's the problem? We're both girls, and in my time, I'm used to undressing in front of my attendants, and they're men, by the way." I continued taking off my clothes until nothing was left on my body, then I took the dress she had given me.

"Now I'm curious. Are you a thousand-year-old vampire?" she asked, and I was right before her instantly.

"And why is that? Because of our clothing styles?" I asked her.

She pushed me away gently. "Honestly, that's one of the reasons," she replied. "And I'm planning to keep your—" She couldn't finish her sentence because she saw my clothes burst into flames. "What the hell did you do?" she exclaimed in surprise and immediately cast a spell to extinguish the fire.

"Burning it," I gave a simple answer. "No one, not a single being, should touch the clothes of purebloods like us. They would use them to extract even the slightest drop of our essence," I shrugged and explained to her.

"What?" she asked, confused.

"Purebreeds are mighty creatures and very rare in this world. Our parents discovered that even our smallest sweat droplets could be used by witches to make themselves more powerful," I explained to her.

She looked at me intently in the eyes, and I didn't flinch. What I was saying was true, and during our time, creatures like Baxa were rare and trusted friends of my mother.

'Wherever you are now, Mom, I need you... I need to know everything that has happened since you forced me to sleep and hid me in the world of our kind.'

"We're not what you think we are, Coreen," she said firmly.

I smiled lightly. I didn't want to be complacent because I feared her kind would betray us again. The powers anyone could obtain from us were not a joke, primarily if they were sourced from our blood.

"Are you hungry?" she changed the subject.

I nodded. "And I want the blood of a witch for my meal."

I saw Pixie freeze and immediately turn pale. "A-Are you serious?" she asked, swallowing hard.

I nodded again. "The blood of a witch can boost my power and abilities. It might also help me regain my memories," I restrained my laughter and maintained a serious expression to make her believe me.

Fear appeared on her face, and she took a few steps back as I approached her.

"Y-You can't do that!" she said, frightened. "Don't come any closer, or else I'll be forced to hurt you!" she warned.

I couldn't help but laugh at what she said. "What chance do you have against someone like me? By the looks of it, your level of power and knowledge in magic is weak. Even an ordinary vampire can kill you in an instant."

"Just so you know, I saved you from the two vampires!" she exclaimed.

"You didn't save me, you hid from them because you were scared."

"W-What chance do I have against two vampires?" she said, taking a deep breath. "You know what? If you want to drink my blood, go on. Just don't kill me. A few drops of my blood can satisfy your hunger, right?"

"Do you think so?" I asked, grinning at her. "I slept for a thousand years, and you're asking me if my hunger will be satisfied with a few drops of your blood?"

She gasped and was visibly crying from extreme fear, so I laughed. She genuinely believed that her blood was what I needed to regain my strength.

"I'm just kidding," I said while still laughing.

I heard her take a deep breath. "Don't scare me like that. I thought it was the end for me. Are you interested in human blood?"

I shook my head. "I've never gone hungry in my entire life, but I like raw meat. That's what my mother always gave me. It always enhanced my senses and sharpness."

"R-Raw meat? Not blood?" she asked, surprised.

I raised an eyebrow at her reaction. I couldn't help but smile mischievously. "I don't like drinking blood. Besides, my parents trained me not to easily drink blood because some of it is poisonous and weakens us."

"And what is it?"

I tilted my head and grinned playfully. "Can't tell you about that, witch."

"That's fine. It's probably better if I don't know, as it might bring harm to you and my family. You can keep it to yourself."
