"So this is phlegm?" Charlie asked.

"It is the remnant mana in a dragon's throat that hardened every time it breathed fire until it just spat it out!" There was a silence for a while.

"So basically phlegm?"

"Yes!"

"That is disgusting!"

"Well you didn't think that you could multiply your mana from eating a full meal course, now did you?"

"Of course not but still, it's disgusting!"

"Crion ate one see! Just shove it down your throat, you still have three more to eat."

Dan smoked the final cigar he had as he watched Charlie and Crion toss around in pain. Charlie's face was contorted in pain and scaly to the max. He had grown a long thick tail and was thrashing around on the ground. He had grown muscles out of nowhere and his armour was destroyed by it.

His scales extended everywhere. It kept changing over and over becoming thin in some places and then becoming thick in other places. His ears grew and then returned to normal.

Crion was the same. She was reverting in and out of her spider form in the blink of an eye.

It was a really weird sight seeing her grow four legs out of nowhere and then disappear and then a giant spider appearing.

"Had I not known about them, I would think I was hallucinating!" Dan said to himself.

He was really relaxed. He made himself a lawn chair from the earth and was just watching the two writhe in pain.

Charlie had swallowed three mana stones while Crion swallowed three.

"So how do you feel?" Dan asked the two after they had stopped writhing around in pain.

"..."

"See silence is a sign of health..." Dan said with a smile, "Most of the time it's a sign of muteness or death!"

Charlie and Crion could not even stand up, although the pain had gone away that did not mean that their bodies did not suffer. It ached terribly.

"That was painful, I don't want to experience that again!" Crion said.

"Me too!"

"It's the price of power, you two are lucky. All you had to do was endure that for a couple of hours, I had to endure getting my ass beat up nearly every single day by a fully grown man who seemed to have some sort of grudge against me! Count your blessings!"

Dan stood up from his chair, it wasn't that comfortable but Dan did not mind.

He scanned Charlie to see how much he improved since they first met.

Dan let out a small whistle in shock. Within a matter of 3 months the kid had improved significantly. He barely remembered that his Mana reserves yesterday was only 4,000 and the time he first scanned him it was a measly 2,000.

'Seems like that prodigy skill of his is working overtime in an environment like this.'

Next he decided to scan Crion.

Dan decided to sit back down, he could use this time to rest.

He decided to look at his stats to see how much he had improved and he had increased significantly.

Despite the system cutting the amount of experience points he got he was now on level 95. There had been a lot of creatures to kill in this hell hole.

'Only five more levels till I get my unique skill!' he was excited a bit but not to much. A pessimist by nature, that was one of the many things Dan was.

'But I wonder how potential is calculated?'

As if it was waiting for this question to be asked a notification from the system appeared in front of him.

➡️ Potential is calculated by the max amount of stats combined a person will have in their entire life. If a person's potential is 1,000 then when all of their stats are combined it will be 1,000 once rounded of.

'So that's how you calculate it.'

Dan opened the shop to see what he could and could not buy, after all a lot of stuff have been cut of.

The only potion's he could buy were stamina restoration, poison resistance, healing potion.

Dan decided to buy all of them since he could only buy three per day. His inventory had over 50 bottles of potions that he had been storing. He actually gave a lot of the potions to Charlie and Crion.

Dan thought, he thought about how he was before he ran away. How he used to be, he had really changed a lot. It really seemed that things were going downhill but to Dan it seemed like things were getting better. Besides the fact that he was running out of marijuana it really seemed like everything was good.

Charlie had improved and gotten stronger. If master swordsman saw Charlie right now then they would tut with disappointment and say that he isn't a swordsman, after all the only thing that he did was swing around a giant sword.

Crion had also gotten stronger a lot as well. Dan felt like the only thing that could kill him right now was boredom.

Dan did not know what to do as he was bored so he read a book. He had been reading for quite a while when he heard the sound of a sword being dragged on the floor.

He thought it was Charlie who was dragging his giant broad sword around but he decided to look anyway.

Immediately as he saw who it was he jumped up from his chair.

It was the shadow creature he had been fighting recently. This was their fourth encounter.

The creature was vastly different compared to before. After every encounter they had it seemed to change.

At first it's hands got shorter, then it's legs, then it gained some weight and right now it seemed to have gained an afro.

"So your back for round 4 of your ass whooping?"

Just like all the other times the creature spoke.
