Chapter Ninty One: The Magic Of Difference

The experiments had gone on for several days, and both Penny and Raven had made very little strides though they had been trying, going forward with no basis for any type of this magic was going to make it next to impossible. Raven tried hundreds of different methods though no matter what she tried, they had not come close.

" We are not going to be able to do this, are we? " Penny groaned in defeat as she sat down on the ground, whilst Penny layed on the ground, facing the beautiful green sky. And as she faced the sky she could not help but feel as though she was failing everyone around her. " We can't give up..we have to keep going because if we dont..then we are going to be screwed.." Raven sighed.

"Looks like you are both are having some trouble" Keera called to them both as she made her way down a small path that led to their temporary camp within the woodlands.

" We are going to figure this out. We promise" Penny tried to assure though Keera seemed to waive off the empty promise..

" Don't worry about impressing me. I am here to help in any way that I can" Keera's visit was unexpected but considering they were desperate, they welcomed her presence.

" So, what exactly are you two trying to do? " Keera looked around the area and noticed that there were quite a few animals that had gathered near the area.

" We are trying to find a way to duplicate animals. To make clones of them I guess you could say. It would give you more than enough blood supply, it would give the Lycans ample food and it would not endanger the numbers. But the problem is, now actually getting the duplication process to work" Raven explained. Keera was surprised at how practical the idea was and how it would be more than helpful to the entire world.

" Well let's see what we are doing wrong here" Keera walked over to one of the small animals which Penny had always referred to as BillyHog. What it really was, was something foreign to Earth. It was however, by appearance, the combination of a goat and a hog. Weighing at least five hundred pounds, with teeth pertruding through its lips and a thin coat of fur covering its body, it was something truly remarkable to behold. And whilst it's appearance would suggest that it would be aggressive, it was for the most part, completely docile in nature.

Keera approached the creature and placed her hand down onto its back, dragging her nails through its fur, and smiling down as though she found a sense of calm from this aspect of nature. She had spent most of her life in the Kingdom and had only ventured out on special missions but this, this place and these creatures, were peaceful to her.

" If this works..it is going to change the world " Keera smiles.

" Well as great as that would be, we are completely stumped on ideas. We honestly have no idea..what in the hell we are doing" Penny sighs.

" You know, we Vampires have our own magic as well" Keera's hand began to glow, as she continued to pet the creature.

After a short while, the animal began to shriek, in what sounded like a horrible pain, which drew the attention of both Penny and Raven who shot up to their feet to see the Billyhog beginning to split into two seperate, smaller creatures.

" How did you do that? " Raven rushed to the creatures, checking to see if they anatomically accurate to one another. Both seemed completely healthy after a process that only took a few seconds.

" I'm not really sure. I just thought about what I wanted to happen and then it happened. As I said, we Vampires have magic of our own" Keera herself was slightly surprised at the success of the duplication.

" Well if you can manage to do that, teach us or even teach it to enough people..we could do this on a massive scale.." Raven was completely dumbfounded by the results and could not hide her excitement.

" Again, I don't know if I can teach it because I'm not even sure how I managed to do it myself. Though, if I can figure it out then I'm willing to help" Keera was proud of herself for the little miracle that she had performed and was excited to learn more about what she could do.

" Growing up, most Vampires are not allowed to use their magic. We are instructed to be physically capable, use our intellect and understand that magic is to come last. Not that it's uncommon for us to use it, but we only use it when all else fails. But me, I grew up on the streets. Again, I don't know who my parents were. But I knew that I needed to survive all the same. And I was willing to do whatever it took to ensure that I did survive. And funnily enough, it allowed me to take my role in the Royal Guard. And it made me one of the more capable of my kind but..this..seeing this..this makes me believe that perhaps my skills could be put to better use" Keera for the first time in her life, felt as though she was finally doing something positive, something that would actually bring a change with one another.

" Well then, we need to get to work if we are going to make a change for the world" Raven smiled.
