chapter 19

We walked for a distance  and it was the Oracle's hut that came into view, the same Oracle that was to marry him and Princess Mokomena.

"My body guards must have briefed you already"he told the Oracle, his voice determined.

" Indeed they did, my Prince."

"Let's not waste time then." his expression was bright. One that I had come to associate with happiness. He was pulsing with excitement.

The Oracle looked at me quizzically.

"You have unfinished business with Nyambe. But that will not hinder this ceremony", she said.

"Besides"she continued comically.

" This is your punishment"

I knew what she meant but,I didn't know how getting married to Prince Sepo was a punishment". It is a wonder that non but me heard her words for when I looked at Prince Sepo, his hands holding mine firmly into his, like there was a chance I would bolt away from him. There was no way he had heard the Oracle.

This was his Zae, he was even more sure of that today. Kuku hadn't said feeling their love too was part of it. His beseeching eyes met mine and I couldn't take it. I slowly fell to my kneels besides him. I could feel his emotions, It was too much love for one me...Less about the consequences of his decision to marry me first. I was sobbing now. Prince Sepo tried to lift me up, I wouldn't let him.

" What is wrong Princess Zae?"

The agency in his words not escaping me.

The knowledge of his love hitting and bringing forward my selfish reasons for getting married to him. It was a cry I haven't had since my parents died. It brought with it all the emotions from then.

" What did you do to her?" he asked the Oracle. Prince Sepo's blood was boiling.

He reached for his knife and pushed the Oracle to the wall of his hut.

"Do yo dare hurt an Oracle? If anyone has done anything to her, that will be Nyambe." There was ridicule and a slight degree of petulance in her voice.

" What's so great about being an Oracle?" He let her go but still looked at her scornfully. He squatted beside me and held me to him. I broke down even more.

He was giving the jealousy Oracle more reason to hate me. I was fortunate enough to have a Prince fall in love with me even with the unawakened powers of Nyambe stirring occasionally inside of me. She hated that, it was more that she would dream of having.

" I am but dirty in the eyes of the Prince, someone should not be greed and think they will have it all, it is only misery that awaits them." She half turned to me who was listening to her speak and smirked.

I was even more determined to not heal anyone, incase Prince Sepo found out, he had married an Oracle. I needed him closer if my revenge for my parents was going to be realised. I brought him even more closer to myself and felt him surge uncomfortably away from me.

Loud incarnations, blood sprinkles, alcohol sprinkles and two bangles and prostrating my self under his feet to denote submission later, We where married.

"You are now my Princess and will be Queen at the King my father's journing to our ancestors" he'd said unperturbed with everything that had happened.

I can't say I wasn't happy that things ended up that way. I based my decision to marry him solely on my revenge to the Letuyako. Yes I was going to use Prince Sepo to get revenge on the Letuyako Kingdom.

We went back to his house hand in hand, his two bodyguards a distance away from us. It was a miracle that we met no one on our way. My heart melted at the excitement his face carried the whole way to his chamber.

You will be staying here with me from now on. The people around here are very discreet and no one will know about us for now.

We were both standing in his chamber marooned by the awkwardness between us.

A well lit room with two windows on opposite sides of the walls. With red satin covering them. His bed, the centre of attention with silk coverings and a few other furniture of polished ebony, lay here and there to compliment the room.

Of course we had gotten married, laying together for the first time was something I was expecting because I was thought to expect that and I was ready for it mentally.

"Can I bath first" I asked him.

" Ah yes, no problem, Prince Sepo cleared his throat. I'll have them prepare your water." he said awkwardly.

l was left in his chambers, the reality of the change in our relationship quietly surging in with fear...It's one thing to learn about these things and another to practice the  things.

I remembered the way we had giggled shyly back in Seke palace. It felt like a long time ago.

There was a knock on the door and I went to answer it. It was a maid servant informing me, my water was ready. I slowly followed her.

When Prince Sepo came into the room, I was already out. The maidservants grasping the situation had prepared adequately for it.

He had found a wooden basin with hot water and two carefully sharpened razor blades in it. He knew what they where for. Lonki had told him so much about it. Just thinking about it made him excited again, swelling movements in him, in a place that had slept peacefully for years,  Am I healed?" he thought. The more he thought about it the more the surging feeling shamed him unintended. He slyly touched the bulging organ thickening between his legs. Something he'd never seen or experienced before. He felt embarrassed thinking Princess Zae will find him like that. There was a knock at the door, He didn't know how to hide the bulge when he asked who was at the door from inside.

"I am the Queen's handmaiden, your presence is requested at the Queen's chambers, My Queen said, it's rather urgent".

" Ok, message received"he responded.

He sat on his bed, to wait the bulge out but thoughts of what awaited him in this very room wasn't helping.

" Am married now, Nyambe be praised for he brought my betrothed back to me."

Engrossed in his own reality, he did not notice that he didn't have a bulge anymore.was walking to Prince Sepo's chamber when a maidservants approached me.
