Chapter 9 - The Time Tree

"So are we going to teleport?" Serefina asked. She had never tried to teleport before. It was a rare skill, not that she didn't want to try but well, the process was...well, she didn't know.

"Oh yeah. That's the fastest route," Bryan agreed, keeping his hands in his coat pocket. "Don't tell me you haven't even tried to teleport. As far as I know, you seemed to have done everything."

"No one in this world has tried everything!" Serefina grumbled.

"Fine...you know what just hold my hand and close your eyes you won't even know when you've reached my house. Okay?"

"Alright." That was all which came to her mouth.

Bryan held out his hand and Serefina took it. His hand was very warm. Which wasn't a surprise at all his coat looked warm as well.

"Now close your eyes. Will you?" he said with a grin.

"Okay. Here goes nothing." Serefina closed her eyes and in a matter of seconds she was feeling a little ticklish but it ended to go away after a minute or two. That's what she thought.

Her eyes fluttered open. She found herself in a gigantic...bed?

"Where am I?" she whispered scanning the room to spot Bryan anywhere.

"And you're finally awake," a voice said. Serfina turned her head to see Bryan poking out the door. He came inside. Two mugs of hot chocolate in his hands. "What is up?"

"Bryan, where am I?"

"My house of course." He handed one mug to Serefina.

"Wait what happened? When did we teleport?"

"When we were at your house."

"I mean what am I doing in this bed?"

"You fainted."

"For how long?"

"I think a few hours-okay don't panic. It happens to everyone in their first times-"

"Bryan wasn't awake for at least a week," a female voice said. Making Serefina jump and so close to spill the hot chocolate.

"A whole week?" Serefina glanced at Bryan who was not surprised at all.

"Yeah well, that's normal," he said when he saw her looking at him.

Normal. It just made her look away. She was awake after just a few hours which means she wasn't nt normal...

"Serefina?" Bryan waved a hand in front of her face. "You okay?

"Yeah, I'm alright."

"Meet my mother." Serefina glanced at the female who'd just spoken. She wore a purple gown with gold embroidery. Her hair wavy as the waves and it was put into a bun, a crown sat on it. Her eyes just like Bryan. But a little faded.

"Hello Serefina, I've been extremely eager to meet you," she said.

"You know me?" Serefina asked.

"Oh, Bryan talks about you a lot."

Bryan coughed.

"He does?"

"Of course and-"

"Mom-mom you were supposed to help here," Bryan interrupted.

Bryan was talking about her? Why?

"Right...so you need my help to find your grandmother yes?" Bryan's mom said.

"Yes and-"

"And thank you that's what she wants to say. Isn't it?"

Bryan was telling her to not tell his mother about the time crystals. But...she would ask him later.

"Okay, first of you need to eat an apple from the Time Tree. Then you'll go back in time and find out exactly what happened after you went to school."

"Wait wait, Time Tree? Where is that suppose to be?"

"In our kingdom of course at the end of the time lake."

"Kingdom? Where are we?"

"In Timezium for sure."
