Chapter 8 - Books no help

Serefina turned pale. Grandma Hannah was not home since she went somewhere in the morning to find the time crystals.

Where she could have gone?

"Hey Fluffy? Do you know where grandma is?" She asked.

No reply from the dog.

"Oh no! I have to find her! Wait...can the book help?"

Serefina took out the Time Crystal book and it opened on its own again.

"Well well, how can I help you now?" the ghostly voice said

"Can you find my grandma?" Serefina asked.

"I am not for finding things! I am for answering things."

Serefina could do nothing but nod and the voice spoke again, "Typical kids." The book closed.

Serefina could do anything to save her grandmother and maybe there was some way that could also help her find the Time Crystals. "What should I do?"

"How about I help you?"

Serefina turned. "Bryan?"

"Hello there," Bryan said launching towards Serefina. "You don't have to ask me how I got here 'cause I used one of my mother's tricks."

"Okay, you could just say that you teleported," Serefina clarified.

"Technically."

"So how did you find out something was wrong here? Don't tell me you saw the future."

"Nah...I kinda had a feeling. It always feels like we are connected. Doesn't it?"

Serefina's cheeks burned and she looked away to hide'em.

"So...the book was no help?"

"I guess so."

"How about we go see my mother now? She might help?"

"That's the only thing left to do," Serefina sighed. "Let's go."
