Chapter 5 - Something's Fishy

"I broke them! I broke them!" A lady with blonde hair said whose face was not recognisable.

"It's not your fault!" another lady said who had long straight raven black hair.

"It's all my fault! I shouldn't have asked the question!" The blonde haired lady shouted.

Serefina woke up with fear. She glanced at the clock:

4:10

The ladies seemed unknown. They were talking about breaking something. What was this all about? Serefina thought.

Serefina turned on the lunar lamp on the bedside table. She drank the glass of water, that grandma Hannah had kept.

Serefina was panting. She needed breath. She ran for her balcony.

The ladies were not quite vissible. Serefina kept herself steady. She stared at the stars for sometime and went back to sleep leaving the balcony door opened.

The half second day of school was...okay? Serefina ate lunch with her new friends. Kyle, Bryan and Ava. She was ignored by the students like Matt Maxvill because she was a Gracy.

But then when Serefina went to her last class of the day, she saw the time:

5:00

"Kyle, didn't our school ended at 5:00?" Serefina asked.

"Yes," Kyle agreed.

"Then why still the last class is left?"

"What?"

"Look."

Kyle looked at the clock. She literally seemed unshocked. "It's 4:30."

"Wait you aren't able to see what I see?" Serefina asked her.

"The time can be wrong right?" Bryan interrupted.

"No. Clockwork academy always shows the correct time," Kyle explained.

"Something's too fishy," said Serefina.

Serefina turned pale.

"Oh no, this is what it is." Bryan said to Serefina.

It seemed like he understood the reason of her turning pale.

"WHAT IS WHAT?" Kyle and Ava asked at the same time.

"We are running out of time," Brayn answered.

"Huh?" Kyle asked.

"The dream..." Serefina whispered out loud.

"Dream?" Brayn asked.

Before he could ask something Serefina was running towards the academy gates.

Brayn's Pov

I kept looking for her.

I found her sitting on a bench at the academy's park.

I sat beside her.

"Hey, want to talk about it?" I asked.

"Yesterday night, I had a dream. A blonde haired lady was regrating about breaking something. And a raven black haired lady was shouting that it wasn't the blonde haired lady's fault," she said. "Now I know what were they talking about. They broke the time crystals. I know it's hard to believe but it's the truth. If time crystals break then the time runs fast..."

"I was right," I whispered to myself.

"What?"

"It's just I saw it too...the time running fast."
