Chapter 39 - Dress Fitting

Bryan arrived at five in the evening with his signature smile on his face making Serefina's day.

"Hey Sef! Ready to go?" he asked.

"Yeah and-" she was about to say something when she and him said the same thing, "I have something to tell you!"

"Oh..." Bryan chuckled. "You can say it first. And don't argue, will you? I insist."

Serefina sighed, "Well..."

She was interrupted by Bryan's ringing phone.

"Apologies," he said as he reached for his pocket and took his phone out. "It's Kyle. Probably called me tell to bring you quickly."

He silenced the call and offered his hand, "Let's go."

Serefina took it and they teleported inside the Time Crystal.

They reached in Timezium with Kyle welcoming them with a glare. "I know you wanna be alone doing lovey dovey stuff but seriously give time to your best friend too Serefina."

"I-it's not like that," Serefina argued. Though it was nice to be alone with him but she definitely wasn't going to admit it.

"Oh nevermind. Let's go," Kyle grabbed Serefina's hand and dragged her inside the castle.

"We'll talk later!" she said before stepping in.

Kyle took Serefina inside a room that looked a lot what Kyle would've liked. A royal bed with her favorite coloured quilt. Beside it, on the bedside table there was a finished glass of cold coffee.

"Um Kyle, isn't it a bit too cold to drink cold coffee?" Serefina asked.

"Well, it's always winter here. We've got used to the weather." Kyle explained. "Don't worry, you will too one day, since you're gonna come here now and then, right?"

There was a crack in Kyle's voice that she didn't want Serefina to notice but she did.

"You see, I've never had a real real friend before," Kyle continued.

"But you're such a sociable person. How can you not have friends?" Serefina asked.

"Well, since I live in a Time Crystal I can't invite anyone over. And when you have a best friend, you know? You have to share all your secrets and stuff right?"

Serefina smiled. She never had a friend before too. But she had friends now. Kyle, Bryan, Rhys, Ava and maybe Ronald too. "I can be your best friend but you know I don't have experience in that. I also didn't have any friends before you guys. In my last school people used to acknowledge me just because I am a Gracy. Never as a friend."

"Oh don't worry I don't have experience either. We'll figure it out together, alright?"

Serefina nodded with the biggest grin.

"I hate to break the moment but I ain't have time, still got appointments up my sleeve." Serefina and Kyle turned towards the doorway to spot a bronze skinned woman. Her face glowed in the sunshine and her dark brown eyes glittered.

"Oops!" Kyle exclaimed, "I almost forgot the reason you came in the first place. Meet Sasha. She is the best designer in the whole Time Crystal."

Sasha stepped in making her way towards Serefina and offered a hand to shake. "You must me Lady Serefina. How wonderful to meet you!"

"H-hello," Serefina shook hands, "but Lady?"

"You are going to dance with the soon to be Crown Prince of Timezium. Ain't I right?"

"Yeah, but why call me Lady?"

"Lady Serefina, you are to be called like that. You're his Princess, you know?"

Serefina tried to hide her blush hearing that. Bryan's Princess. That didn't sound like a bad idea but...

"Umm I. Uh."

"Okay let's make you try that dress. His Highness is a very nice lad. So I did his order in just a few hours. But I still have to go in other kingdoms as well. So hurry up!" Sasha clapped her hands and a dress appeared out of nowhere. And seeing the dress made both Kyle and Serefina gasp.

"It's beautiful," Serefina's eyes sparkled with awe. A dress she would definitely wear. Simple and as well as her favorite colour.

"His Highness's choice of colour. He did a perfect job. It'll suite you." Sasha grinned.

"How did he know my favorite colour was purple?" Serefina asked mostly to herself.

"Could be a good guess!" Kyle said.

"Yeah."

"Try it on! Quick!" Sasha urged.

"I'll take my leave now. Booked for the next forty-eight hours," Sasha said as she stepped out of Kyle's bedroom.

"You looked super pretty!" Kyle jumped looking like the happiest person on Timeland. "And I think my brother would think the same way." she winked.

Serefina unwantedly blushed at the comment. She striked the thought away, trying to get serious. "So, who all will be attending the ball?" Maybe anyone at the ball could help Serefina find her grandma or someone would know about the Time Crystals more than that stupid and useless book.

"Everyone to be exact. All the Kings and Queens. And their future hiers to the thrones."

Then an idea hit her. "Can I talk to the Qeen? I mean your mom?"

"Why so? Something happened?"

"Yeah, I found something in my grandma's bedroom. I wanted to ask about a person who's maybe living here in Timezium."

"I see. I think she is free now. Come on, I'll take you."
