At the Royal Castle, Nicole, Ben, and Dan's parents were all seated for Dinner, each with a thought of their own.
While Ben was busy praying and wishing that Dan would not bring up the marriage talk to his parents when he finally joins them for dinner, Nicole was busy thinking up a suitable excuse for Dan's absence, and when she could not come up with any, she gave up. She was just going to say whatever came to mind. She decided.
Queen Claire, on the other hand, was thinking about her son's absence. She hadn't seen him since after his lunch, and he was not here for dinner. He had also missed dinner the day before. She just hoped that whatever it was he was up to was for the good of the kingdom.
While the King just stared at his wife, who was yet to touch her food, with a blank expression.
"What's wrong?" He asked his wife.
"Nothing," She said and turned to Nicole, "Where is Dan? Why is he not joining us?"
