Prince's chamber

Prince Charles had gone up to his room previously as he wanted to excuse himself from the princess. Though she was his guest as his father had told him that he was inviting the princess over so they could get along, but he hadn't expected her outburst, how she slapped the maid still resounded in his mind and how she pushed the maid away made his heart ache. He had wanted to react but he didn't want to be seen as picking sides with their lowly servant.

He went to the veranda in his room to cool off, and there he spot the maid standing with another maid as he looked downstairs. Though he was on the second floor and couldn't hear what they were discussing, but he saw the second maid checking her cheeks to see if the slap had ruin her face. He wanted to call her and check her chic as well but he thought against it as she was a maid, a new maid actually. Still standing there and staring at them, he had a knock on his door and he quickly excused himself from his veranda and went to the door to check whom it was. Opening the door he saw his two sisters and his fiancee standing by the door. His sisters smiled to him.

"Can we come him brother?," They asked him and he nodded and made way for them into his room.

He had the whole third floor too himself as his sister's, mother and father had the second floor to themselves. He went to take a sit on his couch and princess Amanda, Miranda and Cassandra took the opposite seat.

"Brother, don't you think is a bit rude for you not to entertain your guest?," Princess Amanda questioned him first as she was the oldest princess among them. He smiled faintly and replied, "I thought she was with Princess Cassandra."

Princess Miranda looked up to stare at him and their eyes meet.

"Oh she wasn't. Anyways we brought her here to you, so you both can bond and get to know yourselves," Princess Amanda told him and gestured for Princess Cassandra to stand up.

"Come let's excuse them sis, know they are intending couple to be and they need to spend some time alone together to bond as well," Princess Amanda told Princess Cassandra whom stood up and smiled.

"You are right sister, Brother we will be downstairs, Miranda if you need anything don't fail to ask from brother or any of the guards," Princess Cassandra advised as she walked out her brother's living room with her elder sister, leaving Princess Miranda and Prince Charles all alone in his living room as they both went down the stairs going back to the first floor to meet their parents in the living room downstairs.

"Do you think brother really like her?," Princess Cassandra asked her sister as they both went down the stairs.

"I think he would," Princess Amanda replied as she went to the corridor leading to the living room downstairs, the guards standing and guarding the door opened it for them to pass, and they went into the living room and meet only their mother.

"Mother!," Princess Cassandra exclaimed as she went to her mother's side and sat beside her on the long sofa. Princess Amanda went and sat opposite of them on the couch.

"Where's father?," Princess Amanda asked as she stared at her mother, while bringing out her phone to tap on it.

"He went to the council meeting, they had an important discussion and it couldn't wait till tomorrow," Queen Vicky replied.

"what's the time mother?, This after 6pm and yet they're holding an evening meeting," Princess Amanda fumed.

"Yes, it on political matters, that's why we want your brother to marry Princess Miranda am sure her father would want to assist us in getting the full governmental support we need," Queen Vicky spoked.

"How sure are you about that mother?," Princess Amanda questioned.

"Ohh, you ask to many questions, don't you have hope in your brother marrying the princess?," Queen Vicky questioned.

"I do mom, but aside, she's white and beautiful, I hope you saw her recent outburst I wouldn't want a violent wife for my brother, know his your only son,,"' Princess Amanda spoked and Queen Vicky kept mute, but princess Cassandra quickly replied as Princess Miranda was her friend as they had attended the same college.

"What are you saying sis, Miranda isn't that bad of a person, she doesn't just like maid," Princess Cassandra defended.

"I know you will defend her as she's your friend, but that doesn't mean you should act blind over her temperament. This just her first time visiting us and she slapped our maid right in front of father, I don't think you saw that Cassandra, as you weren't even at the dinning with us when she landed that maid three hot slap." Princess Amanda said while Queen Vicky sighed.

"I saw that Amanda, but there's nothing your father and I can do to cancel the marriage since princess Miranda has already accepted, we can't break her heart." Queen Vicky faintly told them.

"You don't want to mom, but you would want to break brother's."

"Enough girls, you shouldn't act like you didn't also saw how slow and lazy the maid acted, she deserved more than that slap and I wondered if she was in this Palace before as I haven't seen such a white looking maid before, who brought her here?," Queen Vicky questioned as she stared at her two daughters.

"I don't know mom, am quite surprised to see her, she really was slow, but the slap was uncalled for," Princess Amanda spoked.

"Fine, Cassandra you should talk to your friend, I will also try to talk to her, as I do not want a repeat of that slap," Queen Vicky told Cassandra and she smiled, "Okay mom, I will," She replied her mother as they all sat watching the large flat screened TV that stood on the divider.

Prince Charles sat across Princess Miranda in his room and she stared at him.

"Am sorry for my initial outburst," She apologize to him as he hadn't said anything to her since his two sisters left them. He looked up to stare at her and their eyes meet and he told her, "Is okay, just that you should learn to get a hold of your emotions, I honestly didn't like how you hit the poor maid," he told her.

"Am sorry, I promise you it won't repeat," She quickly promised him and she knew better in her heart that she might not fulfil such promise as she truly hated maids with all passion in her.

"It Okay, let's not allow that ruin our day, you are welcome to my chamber, it really nice meeting you, and I must say you are really beautiful," He complimented her and she blushed, while her cheeks shone bright red, he smiled to her.

"Am Prince Charles Freeman, I guess we haven't really done a proper introduction," He told her as he stood up and walk over to her couch.

"Am princess Miranda Wilfred," She stood up and took his hand for a hand shake, and he placed a gentle kiss on her knuckles, while she smiled sweetly to him.
