Chapter 2

I waited 15 minutes in the bathroom for them to leave. But they didn't leave.

"Why isn't your grandson coming? It's been 15 minutes." The soldiers said.

"Just wait little bit more. I think his stomach is not feeling so well." The old lady said.

"Alex dear, come out quickly. The soldiers from the Palace are waiting for you to meet." Suddenly her words made me shook. She wants me to come out. Maybe she is right. I don't think it's any good idea to stay here the whole time like this. I am ready to go out. Let's see what will happen.

" Who has come, grandma? " I tried to change my voice like a boy. I had tied my hair and dressed like a boy. I hope they won't realise me.

"So you are her grandson, huh? What do you do?" The soldiers asked me.

"I sell fruits and flowers in the city." I had only this idea at that moment.

"OK, we are looking for a girl who had run away from the Palace last night. She was the previous princess of this kingdom. King George is the new king of this kingdom. If you see the princess anywhere let us know. And if you help us, you will be rewarded. But if you help her, you will die for sure. " They said and leave. I relieved. They didn't realize me.

" They could not catch you. It means you are safe like this. " Grandma said.

" I also think so. " I said.

" So from now on you are my grandson Alex. We have to stay careful. " From that day I live with her. She is like my own grandma. 3 years has been passed. Now I adjusted myself in this simple life. I became very close with her.

" Grandma, you always go to the city to sell your flowers and fruits. You are too old to do this. Let me go to the city. From now on, I will do this." I said.

" No dear, you can't. If somebody realizes you, did you think about it? What will happen then?" She said with a worried eyes. I can understand her. She has no one. She feels so alone. She does not want to lose me too.

" They won't grandma. It's been 3 years. I was 15 at that time. Now I am 18. I don't think they remember me. " I said.

" But what if they remember you?" She said.

"Come on grandma, you know I lived in the city for many years. I am missing it now. I will be careful, I promise. Please let me go for once." I begged. She felt my feelings. So she agreed.

I took some flowers and fruits, then walk through the way of the city. Grandma told me about the stores she sell fruits and flowers. I reached the city. It's been 3 years since I left this city. My eyes became full of tears. I tried to control myself. Then I made my way to the store that grandma told me about. At first, I went to the flower shop.

"Good morning, can you please check this flowers? I'm here to sell them." I said to the shopkeeper.

"This flowers, huh? Where did you get them? Mrs. Brown always comes to me with this flowers." The shopkeeper said.

"Oh, I am her grandson Alex. She has fallen ill. So, I came. You saw her. She is also too old. I think, I should do her works now." I said.

"Oh, I didn't know that she has a grandson. You are right. Your grandma is too old and weak. Anyway, nice to meet you Alex. I am Ren." He said. He seems to around 19 years old. I sold the flowers to him and then made my way to the fruit store. Suddenly, I heard some noises. There was a crowd in front of the jewellery shop. I went there to know.

" YOU HAVE BROKEN THIS. NOW PAY FOR IT. "

" But I didn't broke this."

Two guys were arguing with each other. Maybe they were arguing about any necklace or something like that.

"Excuse me, can you please tell me what is going on here?" I asked a stranger.

"The jewellery shopkeeper is telling that the customer has broken a necklace. So he wants him to pay for the necklace. But the customer said that he didn't do it. That's what they are arguing about." The stranger explained. They were arguing too much. I couldn't control myself. So I went to them to stop this quarrel.

" Excuse me, can I please take a look. " I wanted to see the necklace for a moment.

" What will you do, huh? " The shopkeeper said.

"I think I can say who had broken it." I said.

"Go away you silly boy." He pushed me and I bumped into that stranger I talked with.

"Let him check if he wants. Let's see what he can do." The stranger said and the rude shopkeeper let me check the necklace. I touched the necklace and took it in my hands. And I understood something.

"The customer didn't broke this. It was being broken." I said.

"How do you know you silly brat? Do you have any proof?" The rude shopkeeper said.

"Of course I have. Look, the broken place is still hot. It means this necklace was being remake. When the customer took it in his hand to see it, it had broken. Because the added parts of the necklace were not properly dried." I said.

" He is correct. The broken parts are still hot." Everyone understood about it and praised me. Then everyone left the place.

" Wow, how did you get it? " That stranger asked me.

" I have already explained. " I said.

" No, I think you understood the matter from the first. " He said made me shook.

" How do you know that?" I asked him.

" Because if you were not sure, I would not go to the argument. " He is so clever. Who is he actually?
