Day 71

I was up all night watching over them. They fell asleep fast without any trouble. I watched over them like a mother. I only wish I could see mine again. I only saw her for a couple of seconds before they sent me away and got murdered... I would give anything to see her again.

R: WHERE AM I?

C: Don't worry, I'm coming!

I ran to Ryan's room as fast as I could after I heard him screaming. He must have had a blackout from last night. He was in the worst condition after all. How can one man drink so much booze?

C: I'm here. Do you remember anything from last night?

R: The last thing I remember is you singing. How did I get here, and what is this place?

C: This is my place, and you are in one of the guest rooms.

C: Guards. Hot chicken soup and plain soda, please.

Guard: Right away, mistress!

R: Who are those guys?

C: My servants. Now then, how are you feeling?

R: Feels like my head is going to explode. Do you have any painkillers?

C: Well... Sort of.

R: Sort of?

I put my hands on Ryan's forehead.

C: Malala matahk... Better?

R: Yeah, thanks.

C: The soup will be ready soon. I will show you to the diner.

R: Soup for breakfast?

C: More like a diner. It's already 1 PM. So, ready?

He nodded and followed me from the hallway to another hallway.

R: How big is this place?

C: Umhhh. Double the size of the Malbork Castle.

R: ???

C: The Lunari are Immortal. There were some royalties, and many guests and they all needed space. That is why it's so big.

R: I can't imagine how big the city is.

C: They were big. There once was a city on every moon. But all were destroyed over 1000 years ago. Only the palace remains.

R: If everyone died but you, who are these people then?

C: They are golems that I made from stone. They have no feelings or needs. They maintain this place and guard it.

R: And they won't attack me or the others?

C: I gave you my mark. All of the golems can see and sense it. They are loyal to you as well and the others as well. Give them any command, and they will obey.

Silent filled the halls. Ryan was amazed by the view. After a couple of minutes, we arrived at the diner.

C: We are here. I'm gonna get the others. I will be back in five. Feel free to do anything.

R: Okay, I will.

Ryan's room was the farthest and took us three minutes to get from point A to point B. I walked to Hannas's room and explained everything as well. Keitaro's room was nearby, so we picked him up as well. Then the last room Alex's. As we were walking back to join the others for dinner, he asked me the question that I always wanted to forget...

A: These golems are helpful, but... Don't you ever feel lonely?

C: ...

A: Sorry, I shouldn't...

C: No, it's ok. Just don't tell anyone.

A: Promise.

C: I do. There were times when I had friends. Some of them are still alive but they are always busy and in the end, it always ends the same way.

A: The same way?

C: They... die.

A: Can't you just resurrect them or make them immortal?

C: There are rules to that. I can only resurrect people with a Restless Soul.

A: Restless Soul?

C: People who didn't die because of old age. And there are only 2 ways for people to become immortal.

I stopped in the middle of the hallway. Tears were running down my face and, the floor beneath me started to crack. Alex watched me in shock as I slowly started to lose myself.

C: Even if I found that dammed fountain and can't just ask him to become an immortal just for me. I don't want him to suffer as he sees how his friends and family die around him over and over again.

C: I don't want him to feel the pain I feel every day. But I also can't live without him. I love him so much... I can't lose him... And I don't want to watch him die... And don't know what to do anymore.

Alex hugged me as tightly as he could. He's right. Crying here won't solve anything. I need to be strong for Keitaro.

C: Thanks, Alex. You are right. I owe you one for this.

A: I won't tell anyone what happened here... If you hook me up with a hot goddess.

He smiled, trying to make me feel better.

C: Fine. I see what I can do.

A: Really?

C: Well, they are all dicks and mostly busy. But I'm sure we can find one for you for a one-night stand.

I smiled at him, trying to hide my tears. I can't let my emotions get in the way. There has to way. After a short walk, everyone was at the table. We all eat like one big family. There has not been any voice in the castle other than mine for years.

H: Not that I don't like it here. They have been treating me here like a princess, but how can we leave?

C: When you wanna leave, just go to the main exit. The servants will show you. They will open a door. Enter the light and think of the place you want to go to.

H: PARIS!!!

C: You can only go to places you have already been in.

H: Bummer. But at least we don't have to walk home.

K: But how can we come back here?

C: Since you don't have magic, you can't just teleport here. But the mark gives you a connection to this place. This castle is called Elvelune. Before you open any door, say its name. You will be teleported here. The mark will only give you enough power to come here once a day.

K: Cool tattoos.

C: Now I gotta go. There is a rouge Vampire in Australia that I gotta get rid of. Feel free to stay. If you have any questions free to ask the servants.

A: What if we don't agree on something?

C: What?

K: He wants to see the Royal treasury, your room, and stuff like that.

C: Oh, that's easy. They can't enter some areas. The servants will show them the way, but the door won't open. Keitaro, you are in charge.

K: Why me?

C: Your mark here outranks everyone. You can enter wherever you want.

I flew by Keitaro and kissed him.

C: See you later, love.

K: Come back soon.

C: I will.

I left the palace in good hands. While in Australia, I was thinking about what Alex said. The darkness inside me was building up again. I need to hit something and hit it hard. That vampire came in handy. At least I let stress out of my system...
