Day 70

10 days had passed. During those days, I've only seen Keitaro 2 times. Goddam demons and hybrids gave me a lot of trouble. But at least I got rid of most of them. The remaining monsters are hiding somewhere. I have to wait for them to show their faces anyway.

C: Huh, my phone is ringing. It's just Hannah. Hi Hannah.

H: Hi Corni. You didn't forget about tonight, right?

C: No, I did not.

H: Good. What are you up to now?

C: Dressing up. But this dam heals. Ugh, I hate them.

H: Now that's my girl. Now tell me, did you find something nice to wear?

C: Yeah. They only had it in red but, I got a Heavenly Hues Maxi.

H: WOW! Finally, I can't believe it. Cornelia Moon, actually wearing a designer dress, and it's red. Somebody pinch me. I must be dreaming.

C: Verry funny. I cut the back of my dress in case of an emergency. I also got a fur coat to cover my body. I don't want anybody to see me like this.

H: Bummer. But you have to show it later on at the bar then.

C: Fine... It's going to be hot in there, and I like the cold better.

H: It's gonna be chilly tonight, almost freezing. Won't you catch a cold?

C: Honey... I mostly live in space. Around the castle, it's a nice 27 Celsius but outside it's about -270 Celsius here.

H: Oh. You really are, a cold bitch.

C: Ugh, you and your bad jokes. Anyway, it's almost 6, and I have to meet Keitaro at his house. See you at the club.

H: Ok. Don't be late. See you.

She hung up.

C: Oh, Hannah... What would I do without you?

I left my home and headed straight to Keitaro's place. This dam heals didn't make it any easier either. I arrived in time at Keitaro's house. I rang the doorbell and waited.

I smiled at him, and he smiled back at me. It was weird that I was the taller one this time because of the heels. Keitaro is taller than me, after all, but only by a couple of centimeters. After a long walk, we arrived at the party.

K: Do you see anyone?

C: No. Maybe they...

H: Guys! There you are!

K: Hannah! Good to see you.

A: Hi guys.

R: Supp.

K: Glad all of you made it here.

A: Yeah, but...

K: But what?

R: They only let VIPs in, and since we are not on the list, we are not getting in.

H: We need to find another place.

The five of us entered the building and sat down at a table. The place looks bigger from the inside.

K: Contacts?

C: FBI, CIA, NSA, the Dark web, and most of the underground Mafia, etc...

H: Now I'm kind of scared and amazed at the same time.

R: Same.

A: Anyway, I think we should order.

C: You're right. Hey! A round of Mendis Coconut Brandy for Table 17!

K: Honey... That's one of the most expensive drinks in the world. I don't think we have a budget for that.

C: Don't worry, I do. I've been working for around 1000 years and never spent a single dollar until camp. And my parents were royalty. I might as well put it to use.

Waiter: Here are your drinks, madam.

C: Thank you, sir. Here's my credit card. Now order whatever you want.

After a couple of drinks and a lot of talking later, everyone's mind was at ease. 30 minutes later, while everyone was still sober...

K: How are you not getting drunk? You drank a bottle of vodka and at least 9 shots of brandy.

C: I can't get drunk. It's physically impossible cause I'm part priestess.

H: Well, all of us were hoping you would get drunk a little before we ask you...

C: Ask me what?

H:...

K: Well... this is a fancy karaoke bar. We hoped you would sing.

C: SING!?

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen! The next song will be performed by Cornelia.

C: Hold on, what?! I didn't even sign up.

K: Well, we did while you didn't look.

C:...!

K: You promised the last day you would sing. Now is the time.

C: I hate you.

H: That's the spirit! Now leave that coat and show me that dress.

C: Ugh. I hate you too.

H: Coat, please.

I placed my fur coat on the seat. I felt a bit embarrassed. I wanted to choke Hannah for saying that I should wear something like this.

H: Holly. Now that is something. Where have been hiding those?

C: After this, You will pay.

I walked on the stage. There were at least 100 people.

Announcer: Miss, what would you like to sing for us?

As I started singing, everyone slowly turned their eyes to me. I wanted to make them pay. I started walking around with the microphone, teasing everyone in the club. At the end of the song, I walked to table 17. I leaned for a kiss from Keitaro. At the last second backed away and walked back to the stage. And with that, my song ended. Everyone was whistling and clapping. I bowed and walked back to our table.

C: So, how did I do?

A: ...

K: ...

R: ...

H: Girl... I didn't know you had it in you, such a tease. And your voice. It turned me on and took me to places like never before.

C: I'll try to take that as a compliment.

K: With that voice, why didn't you sing at the campfire?

C: I don't like attention. I'm a bit shy.

R: You? A sorcerer who saves millions is shy?

C: I grew up in a forest when I was young. I moved back to the Lunari castle only a couple of years ago. I'm not used to the people around me.

A: Well, in that case, it's time for you to live your life to the fullest. Another round of wine for Table 17!

We drank all night until closing time.

A: This fun a night."Hicc"

K: Yeah, we should... we should totally repeat this some other day.

C: Well. I think I will drive since you guys can't in this condition.

A: Will be fine.

C: Ryan and Hannah are already sleeping on the street. There is no way I'm letting you guys go anywhere. Come, I'll take you someplace nice.

I dragged Ryan and Hannah into a dark ally while Keitaro and Ryan followed me.

C: I didn't know I signed up to be a mother... Iliznamla.

In a second, we all got teleported into my castle.

C: Guards.

Guards: Yes, Mistress!

C: Take them to the guest room. Be gentle with them.

Guards: Right away, mistress!

What a day. But in the end, we all had fun. I'm already afraid of their hangover. What am I getting myself into this time? They are all in my castle, safe and sound at least. They also all have the mark, meaning they won't have a problem with the guards. I have a lot of explaining to do again tomorrow...
