Day 34

A few days have passed. In the morning, I had a serious talk with Hannah.

C: Hannah, do you have a minute?

H: Yes. Are you ok? You seem deep in thought.

C: I am okay, but I know you're not. I know the past few days, you had some fights with Ryan. He's asking so many questions, and you can't give him any answers.

H: It's ok. You are more...

C: STOP! It's not ok. I do not want you guys to break up because of my secrets... So I decided that we should tell him, along with Alex.

H: Corni... Are you sure about this?

C: Yes. I know they will both freak out but, they would also understand everything with you and Keitaro on my side.

C: We have no tasks for today, so we can spend the whole day trying to make them understand. But the shed would be too small for the 5 of us. Is there another place?

H: Maybe. There is an abandoned hunter cabin in the woods. It might be full of cobwebs, but it's our best bet.

C: Take them there. I will restore the cabin, so it looks good.

H: Won't you need help? It's a big job.

C: It should only take like 10 seconds.

C: I will see you later. I will head there and wait for you.

H: Got it. I will also tell Keitaro the plan.

C: Good. Thank you.

We parted ways. Hannah went to the mash hall to have breakfast with the others. I told the Scoutmasters that I wanted to spend a day in the forest. They told me it was fine as long as someone else was with me. I told them Hannah, Ryan, Keitaro, and Alex would join me after breakfast. They agreed. I went deep into the forest until I found the old cabin.

C: I guess this is it then... Don't worry, everything is gonna be just fine.

The cabin started to rebuild itself. The paint, the walls, the lights, everything was restored. I went inside and waited. A little bird was my company while I was waiting. We talked about the forest and sang for each other. After an hour, they arrived.

H: Corni! You made this place look like a home.

C: Hi guys. Come sit down.

They all sat down. Alex and Ryan were confused. They knew about the cabin and how rekt was it.

K: I should probably lock the door.

C: Don't worry, I got it.

I raised my hand, and with a gentle hand movement, I locked the door.

A: What the?

H: Straight to the point is see.

R: Can someone please tell me what's going on!?

H: Ryan, relax.

A: I'm getting out of here.

R: Me too.

H: Ugh, this is getting us nowhere.

They rushed to the door, but I reacted quickly. I let my wings spread out so I could get more power.

C: Usiljay!

A strong force picked them up and made them sit.

C: Now shut up and listen!

They were both terrified at this point. Unable to move, Alex and Ryan sat there begging for mercy.

A: Don't hurt us, please!

C: Oh Goddess... just calm down and let me talk. I won't hurt you.

I slowly started to explain everything to them. Alex and Ryan slowly started to calm down. After seeing that Hannah and Keitaro were on my side, they understood everything. I let them free from my spell and gave them my mark. They swore they would never tell.

C: Hannah, please stop petting my wings. It's not a toy.

H: But it's so soft.

K: It is soft.

C: Ugh, not you too.

I let out a sigh as Alex and Ryan stood there just laughing.

R: So that's why you acted that sus. You don't have another boyfriend. You were just trying to hide her secret.

H: Yeah, sorry. But now that you know no more secrets.

R: Yeah, no more secrets.

A: So, to make everything clear. You are a powerful immortal being who defended the Earth for 1000 years. With that magic of yours, you can do almost anything. And you even get stronger each day. And you are also stronger at night.

C: Correct.

A: Now I'm somewhat jealous of Keitaro. Having a godlike girlfriend was always my dream.

C: Maybe one day, one of the gods will take pity on you.

A: Hey! But maybe you can be my wing girl and hook me up with one.

C: No!

A: At least I tried.

R: We should head back. It's getting dark, and I don't want to spend my night in this cabin.

H: You're right, let's go.

We left the cabin, but it was too dark already.

C: I suppose you guys can't see in the dark like me, right?

A: Well, duh.

I closed my eyes and focused. I called for the forest's help. Not soon after, fireflies came and gave us some lights.

C: Thank you, friends, for coming.

K: I didn't know you could talk to animals too.

C: And spirits too. Like the spirit of this forest.

H: Amazing!

C: Come, they will show us the way back.

We started to make our way back to camp. It took us 40 minutes. On the way back, I showed how fast I could fly. I also showed them some basic tricks. Summoning fire or water from thin air. They asked me why I didn't just make money and make myself rich. I told them I could make money or food or whatever, but it's not the life I want. I love spending my night in the forest or ruins listening to their tails. When we arrived, we headed back to our cabins. But not without kissing Keitaro goodnight.

H: Thank you.

C: For what?

H: For telling him your secret. You didn't have to, but you did it anyway just so I could be happy with him.

C: Don't mention it. They both deserved to know the truth.

H: Oh girl... One day I will name my kid after you.

C: You can't name boys Cornelia.

H: Wait, boys? I will have boys!

H: Anyway... You are a true friend, and I will never forget what you did for me today.

Hannah hugged me. When she did, I felt her joy and the true love she felt for Ryan. After a long bonding with Hannah, we went back to our cabins. She fell asleep fast. It was late already. I couldn't sleep so, I went outside for some fresh air. I watched the moon all night until dawn, thinking about the future. Sure the world won't collapse on its own in under 2 months, but after this camp ends, then what? Now I had friends again who I wanted to keep in touch with. And I also had Keitaro. The love of my life. I couldn't let him go. I need to find a solution fast before the blood moon comes...
