"Did you read the text from the commissioner?"
"Yes I did." She sat in front of him and poured the tea into two cups.
Ezra looked at her in worry, he can't read her thoughts now as she had a blank face. "Scarlett…"
"I'm done with this Ezra," she says and his eyes widened.
Scarlett shook her head and stood up from the bed, "I don't think I can keep up with you and your hiding secrets."
Ezra's frown deepens when he hears that, "Scarlett, you said you would trust me. So please trust me on this, it's better for you to not know anything about it yet."
Scarlett turns and throws him a glare. "Yet? Is that the best I can expect from you?"
Ezra's heart skipped a beat seeing her anger. He has never witnessed this side of her. Yes, she has been upset over him most times but this is pure anger and it scares him. It scares him that Scarlett will never forgive him this time.
