Tyler's POV

"You are no fun Tyler. My mighty mighty brain thought of such a brilliant prank and you ruined it." Luke said narrowing his eyes at me.

We had decided to grab breakfast at a nearby cafe.

"I would really appreciate if you tell your mighty mighty brain to calm down." I replied, rolling my eyes.

"Oh Lucy, by the way, do you know I actually filmed the whole thing." Luke exclaimed, munching on his food.

"Wait what-??" Lucy choked.

"Bold of you to assume he will miss anything that can be used against you." Anna said, shaking her head in dismay.

"Look here Luke Donovan. Up till now I have endured everything patiently, because I owed you one. But from now on, I wont just sit idly and watch you play petty pranks on me. Always remember that karma is a bitch." Lucy stated decisively.

"Oh really? Then I would say that karma has always been super lenient on me." Luke said, shrugging his shoulders.

"If karma doesn't slap you in the face, I surely will."

"Dough. Just admit that you don't have it in you." Luke replied, provoking her.

"I will make you regret it." She said, thankfully putting an end to the argument.

Lucy's POV

The next day I woke up early. It wasn't the time for class. Anna was still asleep. I tied my hair in a messy bun and went to the kitchen. I made some sandwiches for breakfast, took my book, careful not to wake Anna up and started reading.

A few moments later, I heard a knock on the door.

"Get the door Lucy!!" Anna shouted from her room.

"Coming." I said, loud enough for the visitor to hear.

"Hi. Good morning. Looking good". He said, studying me from head to toe.

That was when I realized I was still in my pajamas.

"What on earth are you doing here this early?" I asked.

"Actually... Um..I was here to check if the presentation is alright. I don't want anything to go wrong." He stated.

"Hmm.. I see. Is your friend here too?" I asked, hoping to God he would say no.

"Yes.. He said he was also coming. But I don't know where he is right now." He said.

"Okay.. Come in." I finally said and shut the door.

"Hi Tyler. Is everything okay?" Anna asked. Despite waking up late, she was dressed properly.

"Yes of course." He said, scratching the back of his neck. " I just came to check the presentation."

"Okay... Anna will lead you to the room while I get ready." I said.

"No Lucy... I mean you are looking great like that." He said with a smug expression, making me frown.

"Oh really? Thanks for the compliment. What do you expect me to look like when you show up this early...." There was a knock at the door again.

"Who the hell is on the door now? " I said and went to the door.

"Surprise!" I gritted my teeth when I found Luke on the door.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I came here to say sorry Lucy. You were right, I regret what I did to you. Please forgive me." Luke said.

What. On. Earth????

He handed me a flower. I was too dumbfounded to utter anything.

There are people who can't feel certain emotions, like remorse, contrition and guilt. Luke Donovan was one of them. I strongly believe he could feel any emotion but guilt and shame. So technically, there was absolutely no way he felt apologetic for what he did.

I soon realized that when I smelled the flower and started sneezing.

"Achoow! Achoo!" I threw the flower away and went over to grab a napkin.

"HAHAHAHA. I fooled you again. You are such an idiot Lucy. The more I get to know you, the funnier it gets." He clutched his stomach and fell on his knees, laughing like a maniac.

"I am... Achoo!....not letting you.....achhooo!....come in!" I managed to say.

"Ahh that. Who said that I ever needed permission from you?" He pushed me and went in.

I shut the door and sat on a chair still sneezing.

"Gosh Luke. I told you to stop with that." Tyler said, looking genuinely worried.

"You shouldn't have messed with him in the first place." Tyler said, handing me a box of tissues.

"Come with me Luke. Lets go check the presentation." Tyler said and headed towards the room with Luke.

As soon as I got ready, I saw Tyler coming from the room with a USB.

"Lets go guys. Everything is alright." Tyler said.

"Wait a minute, I can't do anything with an empty stomach." Luke said, picking up a sandwich from the breakfast table.

"Oh C'mon Luke. How do you even get an appetite in such a tense situation." Tyler said, throwing his hands up.

"Okay lets go". Luke said and we left the house.
